Simply Thai Restaurant

Positively great Thai food. We had their early bird dinner. For only £11 each they offer an appetizer and a main course of your choice from a list of their curries and stir fry dishes. We tried the ginger mushroom and the sweet and sour dishes. They were ample in size, well cooked, and served on a bed of jasmine rice. No problem going away hungry. Also the spring rolls were perfectly done and very attractively presented. Highly recommended.

A change of name but definitely not a change in taste. Wow you blew my socks off! You put the S spice, I have travelled the world far and wide and this is without doubt the best meal that has ever touched my palette! Touch me more!!

I've stayed in Nantwich a few times and because this is next to the hotel I often stay in it's been an easy decision to eat there. However, it's never been great and two trips this month have shown how poor it is. First visit was a Tom Kha Gai with chicken (staple thai order for me) followed by pad thai with prawns. Second time was the early bird special with the same soup and a chicken thai red curry, with some tempura prawns. The prawns arrived in a thick oily (overcooked fish and chip style) batter, not the light tempura batter you might expect. So oily that my plate had leftover grease. Not pleasant. However, and this is key, the chicken I had in ALL THREE dishes over the two visits tasted exactly the same and not in a good way. Bland, rubbery, and OLD. As if it had been cooked in a batch and frozen or kept in the fridge. Had nothing to do with the flavour of the dish. I mentioned this to the waiter who said he'd never had this before but on opening the app to post the review it's clear I'm not alone and he doesn't check the reviews. He also seemed miserable and almost annoyed I came in when I did, interrupting his napkin folding. The decor is average so the only reason I would suggest to go there is the food and the location. It's only the latter that's still valid. Avoid, and walk down the street to try somewhere else. Nantwich isn't that big that you can't get to them. That's what I'll be doing from now on.

Despite what others have said about their website, it is not true. They do not have a website and it is most likely a restaurant down south with the same name that they have been trying to order a delivery of take-away from! xD I have been a customer of this restaurant for a number of years, their food is always excellent and delicious - they do take-away, I have never ordered a delivery though as I live fairly local. They are polite, trusting and very flexible hosts and take pride in their food and service - which is always incredible.
