Cheap-ish food with quite friendly staff who can accommodate needs. The food is always good quality making it a good place for a family meal but it is a good place to go as a group of friends or with someone but you don't see many people dining alone but that doesn't mean it isn't acceptable (people and staff won't give dirty looks if you do). The area is good as it is secluded and the parking is free. However, it is not a good place for a quick meal; expect a partially long wait.

Always guaranteed a good carvery. Staff helpful. Not tried the pizzas yet but hope to one day. Other food on offer but people usually go for the carvery as it's a quick grab of a tasty meal

Chose to break a long train journey in Crewe. The reviews were mixed but as it was a carvery I didn't take notice of the two bob foodies who want Michelin stars for a tenner. We were impressed with this place from every aspect. Customer service, especially Dianne, great carvery food and unbelievable value.... ALSO 5*Marstons Pedigree at £3pp. Top tip... Ignore daft foodies. Because they are daft.

Great place for roast dinner at economy price. Only two criticisms otherwise it would have been a five star. The veg is soggy and a little over done. The pizza has very little cheese so is relatively tasteless. The dough is perfect and fresh but if the group invested in having a proper Italian pizza chef (called a piziolo) to train their pizza chefs they'd have best cheapest pizza in the area.

Took my mum for lunch today. Very disappointed. Meat for both our meals was dry and hard and barely edible - looked like it was from the night before (we were eating at 12.30pm). I had a large carvery and paid more for this which should have included a large Yorkshire pudding (didn't receive) and a sausage (didn't receive). Complained to member of staff who was polite and apologetic and came back to us offering coffee or dessert on the house - we declined as we'd eaten enough, but were grateful for the offer. All in all though, very underwhelmed. This place is supposed to specialise in carvery - but judging by today they are far from good at it.
