Shimla Spice Shipley

Superb. Where do I begin? Let's start with the waiters. These waiters, these young men , are fantastic at their profession. They are "on the ball" never missing a signal from a customer, a hand gesture, a nod, a look and are there at your table. Nothing, and I mean nothing is too much trouble for them, any of them. Our bottle of water was nearly empty and in the blink of an eye another bottle was there, we didn't have to ask for another, it just appeared. One of our party didn't like his choice of curry so the waiter said " no problem, we will make you something else." Come on, would this happen in an English restaurant? Hardly. Now, the food. Out of this world. I eat at the Shimla Spice in Shipley regularly and the food has never let me down, it has never disappointed. The flavours are unbelievable, the meat is always tender, the rice beautiful and the portions are very generous. Keep it up all at the Shimla Spice.

Excellent food at very reasonable prices. Service was excellent. It's a take your own alcohol establishment, so if you fancy a tipple with your meal, be prepared.

Lovely place to eat. Nice staff nice food. Good value for money. Eat in or out. I visit quite often.

Appalling food with no flavour and I've never judged harshly. Mediun hot was no spice's at all. Lack everything. Sorry and service was rushed and the waiter's were rude and deceitful. They tried to con us with a what they said was a family naan by putting it on a plate but when we order another one we asked for it on rack and they kept trying to talk us out of it. The second one came and we measured it. Smaller by a quarter. Horrified, will never go there again. We only went there as an alternative to lala restaurant which have delicious food with lots of flavours but has been closed to moving to a bigger location. Can't wait till it opens back again. Can't believe this place won an award. Probably bought it on Amazon haha

Fantastic curry. Huge choice. Fast efficient service. Food always good. Not much for those who don't like curry.
