Great seeing the owls flying from person to person. The handler was very informative.

We had a great time with 2 adults and 2 13 year old girls and a dog. The lodge was clean and functional, the decking area and hot tub was great.nSwimming, badminton, tennis, crazy golf, play parks etc. are all free. The girls swam every day and loved the pool.nThe location is excellent, shops, pubs etc. all close by. The woodland is exceptional, the dog had a great time.nWe all had a fun and relaxing week. Go-Ape is very close as are many other Sherwood attractions.nWe paid £750 for a week for a lodge with hot tub in the middle of August. It was worth every penny.nYes, there are certain parts looking a bit tired but I met the new owner and he explained the improvements they are making. The swimming pool area should all be updated for next year and they are adding covered secret garden areas to the lodges, plus a general update of some of the original features.nWe will definitely be returning next year.
Cabin and rooms were great maybe because we had a top of the range one but the facilities just weren’t good enough for today’s expectations and the total cost. The pool and jacuzzi are small & quite cool. When I asked if they could warm up the jacuzzi I was told it’s only the pool water - more of a bubble bath than a spa and because of the size it can only be 29 degrees. There’s no life guard. You only get 30 minutes per cabin per day so you all have to go swimming at the same time. Advertised archery on website and on the site map but there is no archery on site. Only one key per cabin so you have to all go out together or lock people in or keep leaving the key at reception which is crazy when standard practice is usually 2 keys how hard would it be to get another key cut! Reception seriously understaffed, so closes for up to 2 hours at lunch time.nNo sign posts to park even at the road entrance so had to ask a local walking by where it was. The name board is only on the driveway once you have turned up the driveway which is a bit late by then.nNo wifi anywhere, not even in reception.nNeeds some serious investment and in proper children’s play equipment too.nWe will not be returning.
My daughter just paid £90 to take her 3 small children to the so called Winter Wonderland! £90 for a packet of marshmellows, access to an open wooden bench and a rusty oil can full of burning logs which nearly choked us as we tried to sit at the tiny bench! Never mind, there's a show on as we'd been told to go ..... A bloke dressed as the Grinch did an odd dance to 2 songs all very odd ...... £90 quid ....... !!!!!!!! ...... A scandalously expensive rip off, stay well clear
Lovely little holiday park.nSmall hidden woodland park which kids enjoyed. Small animal area and Small pool.nLots of sports activities and indoor play bit.nPerfect for a couple nights of relaxation.nFriendly staff. Nice lodge with hot tubnnClose by 10 min drive/20 min walk to country park which can spend hours therenClose to large Tesco for a shopnnCons- lodges need updatingnWasn't alot of choice in shop
Family members were staying here, I was visiting them. I felt the accommodation was tired and somewhat dated, looks a little unloved. Great location in the woods. Pool not in use during their stay however they did have a hot tub to use. So to conclude, I wouldn't personally stay there myself at this moment in time due to it needing a lick of paint, some maintenance and love. Hope this helps. Thank you.
