my Old father wasn’t feeling well. I made an emergency appointment but he only got to see the nurse and NOT a GP! The nurse checked him and said he was fine and sent him home with paracetamol. My father is over 80 years old, suffered a stroke in the past, has high blood pressure and cholesterol too and he suffered overnight so much that I took him to A&E the following morning where they diagnosed him with a chest infection and gave him anti biotics! Disgusting that their nurse didn’t spot this and didn’t even give him a blood test or chest X-ray ( to save money no doubt) ! Also u have to wait ages for an appointment every single time! The reception lady said they have twice the capacity they are supposed to have and clearly cannot cope! What she didn’t say is that by cramming as many people as they can into their surgery they receive more money from the government ! My honest view is that these people are unprofessional! They take the government money and provide as little as possible in the way of service ! Our old doctor was an amazing human being that put these lot to shame! My intention now to to get rid of these lot and find another surgery that cares and takes pride in their service! I’m not into writing reviews but I’m so incensed that my poor father had to suffer a whole night due to their inability to diagnose him properly !!

Receptionists are friendly and welcoming. Nurse measured my height and said there was no need to remove my shoes! I had a great deal of trouble trying to get my regular prescription. They wrote to invite me for a cervical smear. I phoned to say I've had a total hysterectomy and yet they have invited me again. Shall I go along to see if they can find it?

I agree with the positive comment below. I think people are being pretty unfair on the receptionists. My husband and I have just moved to the area and registered here. Ladies on the front desk are very helpful, and got us signed up very quickly. We both also needed blood tests (requested by ourselves), which were signed off by the doctor over the phone within a couple of days without any hassle or pushing. (Granted, these had to be done at the hospital blood clinic, but that didn't bother us in the slightest). Overall, a great first impression.

The receptionists seem to be getting a bit of stick in these other reviews. It's not their fault if they can't get you an appointment straight away, so to say they're "miserable" and "rude" is harsh. I've never had any problems here. Very professional Doctor who took the time to have a chat about my T-Shirt design whilst he was examining me. I've also seen the med-students (or whatever the correct term is) and they have always been professional and courteous too. I don't understand the 1 star reviews and I think they seem unfair, based on what I have personally seen.

This is a GMS practice that closes at 18:00!!! despite being contracted and paid until 18:30 disorganised
