I have attended Shazia's street food on the 17th November 2021 and recently as I am writing this review 8th of June 2022 with my wife. Both visits were around 5pm onwards so I can’t comment on really busy periods. 1st time we ordered: Gourmet Lamb Burger with Cheese 1 x Fries Chicken Mishkaki 1 x Chicken Seekh Kebabs 2 in a portion 2 x Drinks Total = £19.65 2nd time we ordered: Gourmet Mixed Burger Lamb and Chicken with Cheese 2 x Fries 1 x Chicken Seekh Kebabs 2 in a portion Chicken Biryani 2 x Drinks The burgers and must try chips always fresh but my Mrs was less impressed but she is very picky she thought the Chicken Mishkaki was okay and the Chicken Seekh were good also but loves her Biryani Chicken only and she always wanted to taste it from here and maybe I give her high hopes as I have read good reviews from here she stated the Biryani was not the best and wasn’t spicy she stated also that the rice they used is cheap but I can't verify this but she does love her rice! only place she likes Biryani from is from a restaurant in Blackburn she only ate some and had a lot left over as she started on the Chicken Seekh Kebabs instead. I have not had the curries or anything from the breakfast menu but I had no complaints at all with my food. The establishment is very clean, the front of house is not massive so if there are 4-5 separate customers decide to eat in it will hit maximum capacity to eat in, the menu is not huge to order from compared to other takeaways/restaurants BUT the food is like home-made food and fresh and tastes amazing so it compensates from this, price wise it is not cheap and it is not really expensive its in between if that makes sense. Parking – you can park on York Street or Queen Street which are like a couple of minutes away from this food establishment. They also have place to pray with a prayer mat this is located in the corner of the front of establishment with is a mega plus for me. If I had to make a criticism this is being picky with the food we ordered I would state they lacked bit of spice maybe you could order a spicy curry also the 2nd time we visited we were still eating on closing time and I was kind of rushing to finish my food which was a shame as you can’t really enjoy it fully when you are rush eating, I asked the lady on the counter if she could pack my Chicken Biryani away to take out as I was going to hand her the food she proceeded to tell me to she will give me the tin to do this myself first time this has occurred to me as all food establishments do this as this request is always honoured I was happy to oblige this request as it is my food now in reality I asked for lid and we tend to put all of our plates together after we finish eating so it makes it easier for staff to clean up – other customers could take slight offence to this as I was midway eating my meal when I asked for this to be packed away another I state this as we were waiting for our food the staff did pack food for other customers who wanted to take it out but I guess due to closing time the lady was undertaking tasks maybe misjudge my request. I would definitely recommend a visit to this food establishment. Lastly if you want fast food this is not the place for you if you want good home made style food which take a bit of time to make then this is your place.
Delicious, home-style Indian food served with a smile by the charming Shazia and very good value too! Not sure you can ask for anything more! We ordered too much as usual but ate every morsel, of course! Highlight was the 'Scotch Egg' and of the curries, the keema muttar but everything was delicious and nothing was greasy. It's Asian food but tasted so fresh... and healthy. I know, I know... Only complaint? Would be great if it was open in the evenings too! Other than that, fab! Eat there!
Very overpriced and unfortunately very tasteless, even the paki chai had absolutely no taste.
We had heard good things about Shazia's Street Food and had planned to try it sometime. My husband and I happened to be in Bury yesterday so called in. Chicken biryani was just made so we ordered some to take out as well as Kari pakora. We dined and ate some snacks, aloo cutlets, shami kebab and pakoras. We were given some complimentary dhai pulki to try with the pakoras. All the food was extremely delicious and so tasty. The lady who served us was so lovely and polite. The place itself is very clean with adequate amount of seating. Looking forward to coming back with family and definitely want to try the all day desi breakfast. If you want good, wholesome home cooked food, definitely eat at Shazia's.
I came down after a recommended this place to me..orderd a desi breakfast with keema paratha..food was amazing and the service was exceptional..will defo be coming bak in the not tooo distant future..Shabba from Bradford
Something different to the saturation of indian/ arabic/ chinese cuisine choices. I particularly enjoy the mogo and the cutlass. Price is fine, its definitely worth paying just a little extra for the higher quality of food. Shazia obviously loves what she does and loves her customer base, we always notice how she greets customers by first name and remembers where the last conversation left off. Portion size is perfect, not too big that food goes to waste, or too small that you feel unsatisfied. Customer service is 10/ 10. The seating area is clean, comfortable & stylish. We are regular customers because the place really ticks all the boxes.
We had to stop over at Bury and were looking for a clean place to sit and eat. It was a nice, family run business, courteous as they offer us a free plate of pakoras while our food was on the way. There was a place to pray and bathroom was clean. Food tasted home made. Impressive.
What a find. Took my car to a local garage and went for a walk while they did what was needed. Popped into sharia street food and was hit with a beautiful smell of spiced foods. Wow. Went for the chapati lamb wrap mmmm. An industrial set up pushing out the best home cooking. Will definitely call again, even if I have to go out of my way. Thank you Shazia street food.
Breakfast was delicious, also trued gourmet burger in the past which was great. A lot of free parking available within walking distance. Clean shop and friendly staff.
Very tasty Pakistani breakfast, very good service. Good ambiance.
