Quiet site, set on a rural meadow, a lot of seasonal caravans, they do welcome touring vans and campers. Apart from a slight midge issue a grand spot for visiting Hawes.
Stopped here a couple of weeks ago with my two sisters and our families, we were a big part of 3 large tents. It is a lovely little site and the tent pitches were extremely generous sizes. The toilet and shower facilities were modern and kept nice and clean. There is a stream running down one side of the site that the kids loved playing and exploring in. Plenty of walks to go on from the site. Hawes is lovely little village just under miles away down the hill. The site warden and his partner were very nice people and very attentive. I would recommend going to the Green Dragon Inn pub as it has good food and has a lovely walk to the waterfall. I would definitely stop at this site again.
Nice quiet site, showers and wc cleaned regularly, good site for walkers
Stunning location, impeccable facilities and very friendly residential & wardens
Good little camp site within pleasant walking distance of Hawes. Static and semi-permanent caravans predominate but good grassy and hard standing room for campers and camper vans. Facilities very clean though might get very busy in high season. We booked online, arrived and left without seeing the warden but everything was in good shape, clean, well tended, good hookup and very peaceful. Note that showers and hair dryer require a 50 pence piece! seems a bit mean!. A selection of local maps and leaflets would have been helpful. I recommend eating at the Green Dragon, a really traditional country pub with old flagstones and roaring fires. Thanks. We'd be happy to come here again.
A lovely, quite campsite hidden away. We loved it here. Clean and well maintained facilities. Lots of lovely walks close by and lots of red squirrels to spot! The owners even gave my little boy his very own red squirrel. We will be going back again.
This is a well run camping and caravan site. It's a beautiful and peaceful location with loads of wildlife. Excellent location for exploring the Dales and it's just off Buttertubs pass for the keen cyclists. Toilet and shower block very clean. Stay by pre-booking only, can't just turn up.
We enjoyed a lovely weekend at this excellent well kept campsite. The site is very well maintained, plenty of room on the pitch we were given which was hardstanding, 25ft motorhome-good access to the site very clean toilets and showers. We met the owners, lovely people, and there is a Warden on site who is very helpful and friendly. Lot's to do in the area, including walking and cycling etc. The village of Hawes is only a 2 mile walk or drive with plenty of shops and pubs, and of course the Wensleydale Creamery is a must.. Highly recommended, and we look forward to another visit soon.
Fantastic little campsite. If seclusion, walking, rolling hills and scenery are your thing, this place is a must! Great facilities, with the owners improving things all the time to make our experience even better!
Friendly staff, despite some booking confusion! Campsite is situated in a very beautiful location close to stunning walks but lots of flies on campsite - not anyone's fault! Toilet/shower blocks were okay.
