My other half took me to St Ives 4 years ago and we stumbled upon Sharon McSwineys gallery. We spoke to her lovely husband who noticed that a penguin necklace caught my eye. My boyfriend at that time bought it as a souvenir for our first weekend away together.. 4 years on, with a new baby on the way, I treated my now fiancé and daughter to a last little get away before the baby arrives. I HAD to go back to Sharon to see if they had any more little penguin pendants to add to my family necklace. Sharon’s husband showed me the penguins in earring form and advised that Sharon could make them into pendants to match my other one. Sharon did and sent them faster than I expected. They arrived today and couldn’t be more perfect!! A 4 hour drive and a 4 year wait was definitely worth it thank you Sharon and your lovely husband!! x
This is not just a positive product review, but one that I think would warm the hearts of many. I visited St. Ives with my partner just a month ago and fell in love with the jewellery Sharon makes. I bought a pair of earrings but lost one just after wearing them once. I was very upset and thought I'll email Sharon if I could buy just one earring. Sharon responded very quickly, and offered to mail me one. Not only did she do that, it was accompanied by a very sweet card. And guess what, it actually arrived today, on my birthday! And nope, not making this up. I really wasn't expecting such a kind gesture, and I am so thankful for it. Now I have a proper pair of earrings again! Thank you Sharon!
Sharon's Jewellery and art works are original and very creative. All made in St Ives and sold by her husband Tim in their bright new gallery. The service is great and you will get a warm welcome whatever the weather.
I hope this is the correct place to write a review. We browsed the gallery today and spoke to the man behind the till for a little while. Really amazing items on display. Good luck with the gallery!
Visited the shop for the first time today, some very nice pieces in there too, bought one such item, could have spent a lot more money. A very friendly nice man served us, we love shops like this one, from visiting St Ives first in 1995, too many have gone, it was nice to find this shop, well worth a look for good quality items by local artists at reasonable prices.
