On our adventure on the underground and Glasgow centre we got chatting to a chap in the Butterfly & Pig who on spotting our accent as being "Smoggies" from Middlesbrough, gave us loads of recommendations as he used to work in the steel works on the River Tees. One with it being over the road from the Premier Inn was "why have you not been to Sharkeys". It came highly recommended by our vaping new friend. It is hidden away under the railway arches. The staff were so friendly and a fantastic pint of Guinness. The music was bang on, my cup of tea. The place when I sneaked a look around the corner was huge. Gutted we missed the food as that came recommend by our man too. No stars for the food because we did not have any. Food, I do believe stops at 6pm the beer does not. Loving live music in venues next time we will check out "Sharkeys" first as it looks like it gets in the kind of musicians I love. As soon as we opened the door it screamed of our local back home.
Best wee kept secret in Glasgow for great pub grub. Portions are fantastic menu has a great choice to pick from. Does kids menu as well. Don't let the dated decor fool you it's got a great atmosphere on game days and has live singers.Food: 5/5
Stumbled across this bar on a sleety, snowy Thursday night. It’s more shabby than chic and crazy cheap. Staff were friendly and the two tables beside me had noticeably southern accents and felt safe which was comforting. Has a very local feel to it. Would I drink there again? Yes, but probably only on the way to the football
Was there at a retirement party, service was absolutely brilliant main server for us that night was fantastic she went way above normal service, atmosphere was great and the buffet was well presented and very tastyFood: 5/5

What a find, we ate here for several months, stayed at Premier Inn but don’t like the atmosphere or food n prices. Ate at Sharkeys every night food was cheap and fabulous. The staff were very friendly and polite. Would recommend to anyone local or not. Would like to take this opportunity to wish Fiona and all her staff a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, see you soon Nige
Just spent the afternoon in sharky,s celebrating my da,s 80th birthday. We had a 2 course meal and I had soup then fish chips. The food was excellent and very reasonable. The sevice was superb and the staff were brilliant. The pub has a great atmosphere and the locals were brilliant. Only what I would expect from the gorbals people. Our family had a brilliant day infact I don't have enough good things to say about the place . Thanks sharky,s from the mccusker family
