Awful place! My friends son has autism and at school he had an accident so he had to be seen by a GP. His nose had become swollen and he was very upset. We called the medical centre during working hours only to be told to take him to A&E! We explained that keeping him under control for 3-4 hours there would be very difficult due to his condition as he was already upset and in pain but they didn't want to know. We ended up taking him to the walk in centre in Burmantofts. I advise anyone contemplating of registering at Shadwell Practice not to do it. This is not the first time they let us down. Absolutely appalling!

DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE. If I could leave less than 1 star I would. In the past 6 months alone they have refused to book me an appointment (after being referred back to them by St. James' Hospital), told me I had a doctors appointment booked only to arrive and find it was with the nurse, ignored email communications and cancelled appointments without informing me. When I raised a formal complaint with the practice manager I was told that they were struggling with illness, still no excuse for not informing patients of cancelled appointments. My husband and landlord have also experienced similar issues with them. I would advise anyone considering registering with the practice to go elsewhere.

This doctors has been a thorn in my side for years. They are incompetent in the extreme. They fail to keep you up to date with appointments and regularly forget perscriptions. Doctors have been rude and flippant in the past, if they show at all. I have moved recently and am changing doctors. If you can avoid using them, do so.

My wife has always had a first rate experience with Dr J. Turley. Dr Turley showed an enormous amount of compassion and understanding when dealing with Margaret and has the rare ability to make her feel at ease I would also like to mention the Reception staff, in particular (Sandra) The patience she displays when dealing with the public is commendable. Well Done!! ( I know I couldn't do it!)
