When we entered the Irish Restaurant it was a little unusual to realise that none of the staff on were actually Irish. However we were greeted with a warm welcome and seated immediately. The food was good and not too expensive for the area. The beer was great, not cheap but similar in price to all of the other establishments nearby except the Old Mill. We stopped here as The Temple Bar was full and we couldn't get a table. My wife said her Fish was a little greasier than she likes but my Pulled Pork was lovely. If you're in Dublin for a few days and want a quieter meal then this is definitely a good place to try.
We were seated right away. Food was quick. Staff was friendly and patient. Food was absolutely delicious and well prepared. Best meal we had in Ireland. You can't go wrong stopping here!
Shack Restaurant Temple Bar in Dublin is a hidden gem that truly exceeded my expectations. The food and service were so impressive that I found myself returning to the restaurant twice during my week-long stay in Dublin. On both occasions, my friend and I were greeted warmly by the staff, including the manager and a lovely Romanian girl who served us. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even took the time to provide us with recommendations for things to do in Dublin and Ireland. They also gave us clear instructions on where to find the bus station to Kilkenny, which was incredibly helpful. Now, let's talk about the food. The Dublin Seafood chowder was an absolute highlight of my dining experience. It was served with the most delectable bread and salted butter that perfectly complemented the rich and creamy chowder. It was so good that I ordered it both times I visited the restaurant. And to wash it down, a glass of Guinness made it a perfect combination. Overall, I can't recommend Shack Restaurant Temple Bar enough. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the food was simply outstanding. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in Dublin, make sure to add Shack Restaurant Temple Bar to your list of must-visit places.
The food is delicious, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed every bite and every moment of it. The five of us... left with a full and happy tummy. Thank you. Our first Irish meal....
The table is small, but still comfy. We had late lunch, no room for appetizers. We tried some traditional Irish food, they are good and tasty.Food: 3/5
Walk ins only. Came on a Monday so got a table immediately. Staff is very attentive, all really great. Nice variety on the menu, I had a burger which was nice but I would suggest maybe asking customers how they’d like their meat as I found mine to be a bit overdone for my liking, yet bacon underdone, so thing to consider. Other than that, was pretty good!
We had such a good lunch after it was recommended by a friend. We had the lamb shank and seafood chowder. It was absolutely divine. It is a lovely small restaurant with good service.Recommended dishesLamb Shank
Amazing wee place to eat! So busy because the food is just delicious the service was brilliant and did a great job and turning tables around so fast! Thanks Food: 5/5
Amazing food, great service and atmosphere. Irish Stew will definitely leave you stuffed..
I tried the traditionnal Irish Stew in this restaurant, and it was quite good and well filled. For the anecdote, I dared to take a Guiness in 33cl, and not a pint, so I had a funny remark from the waitress of the interest of this choice... Don't make the same mistake as me, choose the pint !
