Lovely lunch had here during one of our many rambles across the cliffs. Well cooked and piping hot food to boost your energy for continued adventures. You can climb the twisting stair case to the ‘ramparts’ and take in the glorious views of the channel and passing yachts/vessels. We we’re lucky to watch a training scooner sail around the coast line - lovely to see. Also available on the way out of the cafe grounds is a continual film of the local flora and creatures you can expect to see throughout the year. Well worth a visit.

We had the Sunday roast. Fantastic!! Locally sourced lamb melted in the mouth. The staff were friendly and really helpful. Beautiful setting and lovely views.

Whenever I'm in Swanage I always have a walk up here to soak up the views, and I regularly pop in to here for a cup of tea and a rest.. but I also enjoy their food. On a sunny day it's great to sit outside and enjoy the view, but it's also nice to sit indoors; I forgot to take pic of indoors, but it is very neutral and calming, although it can fill up quite fast. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, even at their busiest.. and prices aren't too bad. They have gluten free fish n chips which is also a big bonus.. and the burger is a winner. I also enjoy their sausage in a bun with a cuppa, when you make your way up there for breakfast, I think it could do with an extra sausage, but still tastes good in the breosh bun.

I popped in for a cream tea after going for a walk around durlston national park. The cafe is to be found in the castle and it does a good range of meals and there is seating inside and out, with fabulous views. The scones were excellent, the coffee was ok, not terrible by any means, but not amazing. The staff were very friendly. They don't bring cutlery with anything, which is just one of those little things I found odd. Not even a teaspoon with the coffee. So make sure to get all of that before you sit down!
