Visit Seashells in Hythe and enjoy the stunning views of Southampton Water from our newly refurbished upstairs bar and restaurant. My first visit today and what a wonderful lunch! They did dairy and gluten free for me and made it feel like it was no bother at all. The food was all fresh and cooked to perfection. It was a large helping (sea bass very fresh) and the service was very great very professional. Will definitely be going back.

Popped in for a late lunch/ early dinner. The lunch menu is from 12 till 6 which is significantly cheaper to the dinner menu. Starters (pictures are whitebait and the muscles) were well presented. I had the duck pate which was very good. For main I had fish and chips which was tastey enough with a home made tartare sauce. The batter was a bit soggy but I like my batter crispy. The views are impressive and the binoculars are a nice touch. Decor very modern, warm and stylish. The stairway up to the restaurant does not reflect the rest of the restaurant. Service was very good.

Nice venue for watching the ships sail by. Plenty of seating both inside and out...bright and airy interior and friendly staff. Would give higher rating, but they do not have any disabled access and can only be reached via a quite steep staircase. Also the entrance is shared with a bookmakers...so you can get the odd tracksuit wearing, loser, congregating outside for their cigarette break. Could be SO much better.

The restaurant, the food, the View and the location brilliant, and the staff brilliant. I'd like to say the same for some of the rough, noisy, drunk clientele that made the place change from a nice restaurant environment to a rough working mans club.

Had a lovely meal here. The staff were great, attentive but not intrusive. The food was lovely. The bar area seemed popular, but not loud or rowdy, nor was it too close to the restaurant area. I would recommend this restaurant.
