Food was amazing. Live locally so visit often. Had soup of the day. Leek and potatoe with Focaccia bread. Bread would be better sliced to spread the amazing butter rather than served in 2 chunks. Still thoroughly enjoyed though. Xx
Two of us had a sit down Christmas dinner but the service was very slow with long waits between courses despite us pre-ordering our food in advance. The starter was absolutely tiny. The dinners were also inconsistent as I had stuffing balls on mine but there was none on the other plate. The turkey was awful, tasted like a Bernard Matthews turkey roll slices, just something cheap and horrible. Disappointing as that should be the highlight of the meal at Christmas but it wasn't good at all unfortunately. We really enjoyed our desserts though.
Just had a super family meal for 8 at The Red Lion. Food was delicious, service great and a lovely touch of a cake and a glass of wine for the birthday girl! Highly recommend!!
Stopped for a 2 night stay at a very good price. Considering where the pub is situated. Can’t find fault. Beech 10 min walk away. Clean and tidy rooms and shower. We didn’t opt for breakfast. Booking, check in & out was very easy. The fella on the phone was very helpful. Made our short stay on the south coast very welcoming. Thank you !
Good pub food and great real ale at very competitive prices. Staff very pleasant and competent. I'm from Yorkshire so know all about good value for money so get yourselves there and get some snap and a few pints in you!
