I recently purchased an enclosed trailer for my contracting business at Scotts in Manchester. The overall experience was excellent, so when Anna and I decided to start looking for a camper I knew exactly who to see. We arrived with no idea of which direction to look and luckily were met in the lot by Jeff. We informed him of what we were looking for, he made a few suggestions, then he gave us an appropriate amount of space and provided enough additional information to allow us to make a well informed decision which proved to be perfect. We love our Black Label Wolf Pup and are having an awesome summer exploring Maine and soon beyond! I would highly recommend Scotts Recreation to anyone looking for a camper. Thank you Jeff, you are the man!
I have had a great overall experience at Scott’s recreation in Manchester! From pricing, to sales, to finance and then follow-up Scott’s has exceeded my expectations! Recently Randy from the on-road service dept. came to my home for a service call. He answered every question I had and took care of everything on the list. He even shared some great tips & tricks! He was super knowledgeable and he was a great teacher.  Most of the men that come to my home for any type of work are pushy and mansplain everything to me- not Randy!   He was respectful and considerate.  I cannot say enough good things about that experience and the overall experience at Scott’s Recreation. Highly recommend it for sure!
My wife and I went to Scott's last week to apply for a toy hauler we saw online. Right from the start Justin M in Sales was super helpful. He located the hauler, walked us out, and answered all of our questions with no hesitation. When dealing with Lauren in the finance department, it was a breeze, and he truly makes you feel comfortable with the buying process. Mike the technician who walked us through every square inch of our camper went above and beyond answering questions, showing us how every single function worked, and what to do in emergency situations. The whole team is personable, professional and kind. If you're in the market definitely take a trip to Scott's Recreation in Manchester, ME. I promise you wont regret it!
Alot of parts which is why I went there. The first guy I was dealing with didn't seem interested in helping me with what I needed. Maybe because I wasn't buying a camper? I don't know. So after he just wandered back to the office I went and found someone else. This guy helped and answered my questions and sold me what I needed. Can't remember his name but he was a parts guy based on his business card on the counter. I won't rate bad because of the one salesman but I'm hoping the next visit will be better. Good selection of RV parts though! Update: I was contacted by Jeff the GM regarding my review and I was VERY pleased with his interest in learning more about my visit and was extremely nice and showed his dedication to the business. I believe my visit was an isolated event and I was very glad to hear that the management takes the customers seriously. Great job to Jason as well for helping me out when I was there! I will go back for sure.
I wanna thank Scott’s so much for everything they’ve done,to make me happy.I totally understand a used unit is as is now and I should have read my contract better.I’ve been a customer for years and never had a issue with them,besides my stupidity. I would and will totally recommend them from now on.Extremely friendly staff and Steve is top notch in service.Sincerely sorry I jumped the gun and thought a used unit had a warranty and now know you can purchase a warranty if you want.5- stars all the way. Recently purchased an AirXcel digital thermostat as an upgrade to my two wire analog thermostat. Was told it would work. I paid $83 for the item and it did NOT work. Called Scott's back to explain the situation and was told there was nothing they could do. I've done business with them in the past but will take my business elsewhere from now on. Very disappointed! UPDATE: In Ref. to Scott's Rec. response to my customer review; Not surprised with the fabrication as to what was said during the sale of an item that did not work with my two wire system. My wife was also present in the shop during discussion over thermostat options. We both agree the salesperson DID NOT say to us "I'm not confident this thermostat will work". Being an "employee" in his work field, I would not have purchased the item had he actually said that. It's really sad with the cost of living in today's world, especially living in an RV that a business would take $83 from a customer and later say "There's nothing I can do", when the item sold wasn't compatible to begin with. The business is clearly only out for the money and NOT customer satisfaction, as it should always be with an item so small but yet so important when it comes to keeping your family warm. That's what ACTUALLY happened. I would NEVER recommend this business to anybody, PERIOD. Both myself and my wife are in complete surprise that a business such as it is would fabricate what was actually said and done inside the shop. I'm disgusted and hope this will help an unfortunate customer.
Good place to buy stuff in person if you know what you want and if they have it, even if it does seem like your burdening the salesman. Otherwise they are completely overwhelmed when it comes to knowing what is in stock and when it will be back in stock. Absolutely can’t handle over the phone sales. Overall I would say decent prices and quality items but just to big for their own good. I deleted my last review being it seemed they wanted to make things right but I’ve come to the same conclusion in the end.
I have purchased numerous trailers of every kind from Scott's Recreation. Each time the staff have been extremely accommodating, informative and helpful. The service department works with you to ensure your needs are met thoroughly and with expert professionalism. What a great neighborhood business.
I had some defects occur with my 2022 Keystone Arcadia that I had purchased from Scotts Recreation's Turner location at the beginning of the year. The folks out of the Turner facility were unfortunately not as willing to meet customer satisfaction when these issues were reported which is when I was put in contact with Steve from their Manchester location. Steve handled the situation perfectly and professionally. Their tech Randy who resolved the issues went above and beyond my expectations!! I am grateful for the staff's quality and fast assistance from the Manchester location, especially considering I work and live out this unit full time. I will gladly refer any business to Scott's Recreation in Manchester.
Excellent customer service, and high quality products. We were looking throughout New England for the right trailer due to current shortages. With their many locations, they helped us find the perfect one, close to home. We financed and drove it off the lot in a matter of hours.
