I've been wanting to check out Sariyer Fish Restaurant since I moved to London, and I finally got around to it today. It was a nice surprise to find Black Sea fried anchovies on the menu right here in the middle of London. Even better, they were served crispy and cooked in clean oil, which made it even more enjoyable. We got there early, around 6 PM, but were still warmly welcomed. Everything was super fresh and freshly made. It was also really nice to see that the kitchen was run entirely by women. Everything was fantastic, thanks a lot.
The restaurant is a fish restaurant. The appetizers, fish varieties and drinks are of very high quality. The restaurant staff seems friendly and sincere. There is also live music on certain days. The price can be considered reasonable. I definitely recommend it.Food: 5/5
Although we went there for some snacks rather than a main meal, the service was excellent even though Barış Bey was alone. The products were very fresh and delicious. We plan to try their live music nights and main courses in the near future.Food: 4/5
Where could you walk into a restaurant, ask what fish is on the menu today, and be told it's so fresh that the owner is still prepping it for the display fridge? Sariyer Balik is where. No need to even look at the menu. Complimentary meze while waiting for our shared plate of mackerel and the best red mullet ever! Turkish rosé on a par with French counterpart without the huge price mark-up declined the raki but each to their own!
The owner Barish is also the chef and cooks fantastic sea bass with butter and tomato. The best sea bass I ever had. Amazing thick Turkish coffee. For dessert: The sweetest melon ever. Parking: Free street parking after 6 pm.
Been my go to fish restaurant since young. Mine & my family’s favourite, various options of hot & cold starters. Excellent service, always ! Can’t recommend this place enough .Food: 5/5
One of the best Fish Restaurants that I have ever visited . It was the fist time here but I will be back Food: 5/5
Good restaurant and a truly familiar environment. Recommended for those who love fish and don't want to compromise on quality even if they make you wait a little bit
We were there for a cousin's surprise birthday. The evening started well enough. We had an area downstairs where we could play our own music. The waitress was great managing just over 20 people. She took our orders down and wrote our names next to them. Our starters came and most of it was okay. The prawns were overcooked, hummus was nice and they gave us various dips to try they were okay. What happened next was a disaster. We didn't get our main courses until close to 10pm . They didn't have enough seabass but only told us when they started to serve the mains. My tuna fillet was cold. I asked for boiled potatoes and they came out cold. Others complained theirs were inadequate. Cold food, incomplete plates, plates missing. Luckily the birthday girl shared salmon fro somebody else. Thankfully the birthday girl was so happy with everything else she was past caring! I don't know how the waitress managed to do her job. The problem was, with the kitchen. They never told her what was left but she didn't realise that she had not brought down all the food orders. We had a few at time without the food. But avoid at all costs. Food shocking. Menu is not great very limited. Goodish service for a hectic waitress. Wine choice is boring and uninspiring. No dessert menu we did have birthday cake! though. We enjoyed it with music we played. Don't ever visit there. They have a lot to learn about running a restaurant well. They will lose more customers if they carry on like this. This is 1 of the worst places I've eaten in and I'm definitely not returning. It needs a good clearout and refurbishment and enough food especially when you know you have a large party coming.
Very good atmosphere,cosy ambience,especially weekend good music.Food: 5/5
