My partner is Egyptian and this is a quite authentic place. Lovely Egyptian family running this joint. I have never tasted stuffed vine leaves as delicious as this. The best I have ever tasted in my life. The Egyptian nan was making them. Soooooo good! Everything was delicious. End it with a Egyptian coffee which is brewed with cardamon.
Quiet out of the way egyptian restaurant. Really great value for money and very tasty. Cash only and no alcohol.
Amazing authentic Egyptian food. One of the only places in London that got it right like this. Will be returning over and over, thank you for a great time !
Great authentic Egyptian cuisine, food was absolutely amazing! I went with my friends and we got a variety of dishes. The staff is really friendly, the food tastes incredible, and the atmosphere is aesthetic with Egyptian music. I would recommend this restaurant to both foreigners and Egyptians who miss the taste of true Egyptian dishes! We will definitely be going again. CASH ONLY
Lovely authentic restaurant, a really homey atmosphere. The best molokhia I’ve had in my life as an Egyptian whose had so many different molokhias. Would definitely recommend :
It was one of the good Arabic restaurants that I really enjoyed dining in. The atmosphere of the place is so cosy. You feel you are sitting at home with your friends. The food was great, we ordered mezeh and mains to share we got tabloueh, koubeh, lamb liverI loved it, and more dishes and for mains: Fatteh was absolutely great, a lot of garlic but we loved it.
The resturant wasn't upto expectation. The portion size were minuscule with a big price tags. Eg. Ordered a kebab platter, it was just enough for 1 person and charged €15. The owner kept on mentioning they don't accept card and we had to pay cash. Thrice we were reminded, as if we weren't going to pay. We ended up spending €69 and still were hungry.
Moroccon couscous was booked plain couscous didn't even have salt in it. Never seen anything as bad as that. Food was cold...pita was carried in their commercial packaging in front of us....nothing was fresh. Lamb stew was bad amd not warm as well. Everything was bad....
I loved the Fatta and the stuffed vine leaves, my husband really enjoyed the beshamel. The meat was very tender and tasty. Om Ali was amazing the same as the one we used to eat in Egypt, not too sweet and very well balanced. The overall experience was amazing
Must avoid. Cutlery not properly washed, dirt all over the fork. The salad contained hair and small foil. Waiter didn’t do anything about it. Appalling.
