Brilliant, friendly service. The most delicious food, beautifully presented. Perfect proportions... It is lovely to leave the table feeling satisfied rather than like a barrage balloon! We have eaten here in the past and enjoyed it. We'll be back again when passing through on the canal that is nearby.
Good, lovely venue, great staff. We were served by no less than 5 members staff during our meal! Very busy for a Wednesday night but well managed. They offer a deal on Grills but we went off the main menu. I had the Tandoori Duck Salad which was nice, a very good portion. My partner had the Soy and Ginger Pork which was lovely. We've had Sunday lunch here which was brilliant.
Good meal but I wasn't happy that they automatically added a service charge. It's up to me to decide if the service is worthy of a tip. I don't go to sainsburys and get charged extra at the checkout for shelf stacking. The service was good and they would have got a tip anyway, just the principal of it all. We are not America.Service: 4/5
The staff were so so lovely and accommodating. Went above and beyond for me and my friends. The food is so good and the atmosphere and setting is great. I would definitely come back and have already started recommending it to friends Rooms: 5/5
Overnight stay at Saracens Head. Hotel rooms were clean and little extras like the White Company toiletries, bottles of mineral water and tea & coffee in a basket were a nice touch. Bar and restaurant was very festive and gave a wonderful Christmassy ambience. Good food and staff were really friendly and helpfulGus and Dan especially. Highly recommend for a stay or meal out in the countryside.
Good food overall downside was the waitress we had was a bit rude and she didn’t come check to see if we were happy with the food and I had to go and find her several times for more drinks and to clear the table after we had waited 20 mins after we had finished to have it cleared I then had to go find her again for the dessert menu and again for the bill which she had added multiple items on which we didn’t have. So management had to sort this. Overall if customer service was better would happily go again
We visited for a meal but felt it was a bit overpriced. Service wasnt that great as had to ask repeatedly for the extras we had ordered to be brought out and nobody checked our food was ok. Food was nice but mismatched in portion sizes pizza wise. We seemed to get two children's size pizzas and one adult but then charged full price for the two adult pizzas? Bill arrived including service charge, we aren't in America please take this off! We would visit again but use the takeaway menu instead.
Visited with some friends last week and it will be the first and last time I visit. We had an issue with the food. After we spoke to a gentleman who said he was the manager we were offered little more than an apology. He was little help. Poor service for extremely expensive food. Then just as it couldn’t possibly get worse they add a service charge automatically to the bill, but ‘don’t worry you can remove the service charge, it’s discretionary!’ Maybe let me add it and not have to remove it. Don’t make out mistake. Avoid!
1st time we had been here GREAT, fire was burning, such friendly attentive staff but never over powering at all, food was delicious & a bit different from the norm if you chose it which I did. Couldn't fault it. Takes dogs too so it was a family outing which is wonderful for us, more should do this. WE WIIL BE BACK, our go to place now. THKU for a lovely experience.
Absolutely delicious lunch today, the staff are all so friendly and wonderful service. We were all thrilled to get to feed the llamas too especially the little man so thank you so much for a great experience!Service: 5/5
