Very impressed with Matthew's Bistro. Menu was really good but decided to go for the lamb which was incredible. Service was good and staff were friendly. Was surprised that it wasn't fully booked to be honest.

One of the best meals we had in Ambleside .Food is fantastic, price is good, staff are lovely. Would love to come back, but it's already fully booked until our last day.

Really lovely meal with great staff! 

Came here years ago and decided to give it a go with kids in tow. Good selection for kids, good wine. Overall a great experience with parents nervous about taking kids out for an evening meal!

Really enjoyed our meal tonight. Friendly helpful staff made it a special evening. The food was beautifully cooked and well presented. Thanks to Dominika for the personal touches.

Visited this bistro tonight after looking for somewhere last minute! We weren't at all disappointed... Food was wonderful, service was friendly and ambience nice and relaxed. I would highly recommend.
