Lucy's team & businesses, both On A Plate & Inside Out Catering were second to none for our wedding celebrations! Lucy was such a joy to work with, with her depth of knowledge & expertise, and her shining passion for food, people and service! Lucy and her team made our whole wedding perfect from beginning to end, and everyone commented on the food! : Even the thoughtful details for our post-wedding meal celebrations as well. We couldn't recommend highly enough! Thank you for everything Lucy!

A truly amazing dining experience as always. We are always made so welcome and the food is out of this world. First time we have tried the Sunday roast. The best roast lamb dinner we have ever tasted. You eat in the most beautiful ambient setting, It is simply the best. Cant wait to return. Thank you Lucy’s!

Amazing restaurant with the owner taking care of you. Nice selection of food, including local and veggie options. The staff is very nice and I'll come back. Very friendly dog too

Nice romantic restaurant with a saucy racy menu to match ! Had the most tastiest meal fish and chips and partner had lamb tagine with couscous ,sour cream and vegetable crisp . The wine was a nice spanish tempranillo. I had I would say the beer OF the year , an IPA called called steamer. Lucy was very attentive and funny.

Where to start.... I stuck my head in on a chance to see if there was a table for me & then it began.. the staff could not have been more friendly.. all of them! There was a heart stopping momment when a menu box fell off the wall but that just made uz jump out me skin.. Anyhoo.. i decided on a 3 coarse meal with a very nice large glass of Shiraz which i kept for the main... First came the starter.. Baby Bobotie don't ask me to describe it but it was proper lush The main.. Very berry Bambi.. sliced venison haunch with green beans, carrots, fondant potate & a berry jus.. to die for and cooked to perfection just the way i like it. & then came dessert.. Almond & Apricot bread & butter puddin' with custard.. a superb way to end my 3 coarses.. & from me prices wern't to bad but that said.. i don't mind paying a bit extra for quality & Lucy's was just that.. Expect a return visit. Update.. did a return visit & it was as tremendous as the first time.. even got to meet Lucy & what a lovely lady she was too.. not just passionate about her work & the restaraunt she's built up over the years but she's also very friendly to talk too

Wonderful food and cocktails, great atmosphere and fab staff. I had a lovely meal, would definitely recommend. The Sunday dinner was fantastic!

A wonderful dinner in very nice surroundings. The food was beautifully cooked and presented, with the calf’s liver starter the highlight.

Had a great night at Lucy's. When we first sat down to look at the menu, we realised that the place was special when the menu was uniquely created for each day, with a personal greeting from the owner. The food was delicious and the menu had swathes of character, humour and zing. Staff were attentative, and friendly. Definitely one to go and check out if you are in the area

Food was amazing! I am stuffed. The staff where so lovely and it will definitely be somewhere I come back to when I come to the lake District Food: 5/5
