Story

We fell in love with Swiss Café culture whilst visiting Switzerland and were inspired by the Swiss obsession for quality produce and service. Our dream was to bring a little bit of the Swiss Alps to the Lake District serving high quality products.....and so Cafe Treff was born.

Brilliant place!! Great prices
Small cafe in Ambleside. Easy to find. Nice cake and a really nice hot chocolate.
Went here for breakfast today, was the first time we've been here. Absolutely made up we did, food was brilliant, staff very helpful. Will definitely be going there again. Highly recommend the pancakes - delicious.
Nice tea, nice sandwich and quick service. A great location and some very interesting pictures on the walls. Well worth a visit.
Lovely atmosphere. The soup and mince pie was delicious. The coffee wasn't half bad either. Would go back next time I'm in Ambleside.
Lovely little cafe run by Dave and Bernie Robinson. Friendly, helpful service. Bright vlean toilet upstairs. Been going there for years.
Whenever we are in Ambleside we always visit the Cafe Treff for the best coffee in the Lake District. Friendly staff and a very pleasant atmosphere. We have been coming for more than ten years and always receive a warm welcome from the owners and their staff.
Love this place. Everything they do is well done - try their own recipe hot chocolate
Lovely, friendly service. Clean tables. Tasty, freshly made sandwiches. Good and interesting choice of cakes. Good coffee.
