Lovely fish and chips for dinner. Fish cooked fresh whilst we waited. Chips could maybe have done we a minute or two extra in the fryer but that's being picky! They were still excellent
Stopped in for a snack. The staff is so friendly and the cake slices were gigantic and were the best cake we've had in a long while! Moist cake crumb, good frosting, ripe fruit and rich without being too sweet. Didn't try the fish and chips but they also smelled delicious!
Delicious lunch on a chilly and damp day. The butternut squash stew vegan was perfect with a pot of tea. My husband really enjoyed his lunch of hash with a fried egg on top. Of course, we had to have a slice of cake to share to finish the meal.
A nice sunny day to have lunch. Chose here to sit outside with dog. Had the tuna melt and salad very nice and tasty very polite staff even brought fresh water for the dog. We had excellent brewed tea and then cake after. The portion size is large be warned but very nice with the tea. Would recommend to visit

Hands down the best cake I’ve ever had. Also ordered the fish n chips and fried chicken with fries. They were really good for a small place like that. The green haired lady was friendly and courteous.
Had a quick lunch during a break in a bus tour. Had a grilled cheese sandwich and my wife had the bbq chicken. Both were really nice. After staring at the cakes while we ate, I bought a piece to take away. We had it later in our b&b room and it really was the very literal icing on the cake for our day.
Friendly cafe in a good location. Portions were generous and the quality of food was amazing. I had a beef and Stilton sandwich, it was stuffed to the brim and the beef melted in my mouth. I'd say the hand-cut fries were the cherry on the cake but the cake was the cherry on the cake. All around great value.
Seafood chowder is insanely tasty. Cakes all dreamy. Warm and friendly hosting and a bevy of silver vixens to be chatted up by.
