It's our second visit to Sandymouth. The resort is well kept and the facilities are great. Our caravan was very clean and tidy and had lovely views of the sea. Staff were responsive when we had an issue. Overall, we'll visit again.Rooms: 4/5
Boooooorrrrreeeeeed. The site only caters for children about 7 and under via the entertainment. The pool was not to bad but only one lifeguard for approx 20 kids. And to be honest he didn't seem that interested in what was going on. As for the rest of the things like arcade and club house. Very very poor. There seemed to be only one member of staff who was genuinely interested to help you. Not enough staff. Laundrette was really poor. Only 4 machines and 2 of them were broken. The shop well there wasn't a shop it was a big fridge in reception. The caravan was small and not very comfortable. One of the kids beds broke. We had to keep calling maintenance due to the tv not working. No facility to get change for the very limited arcade. No cashpoint so had to drive 5 to 10 miles away to get cash. Food in the restaurant very costly and waited over an hour for our food. I wouldn't if minded but it wasn't busy. In the evening you had to get there early as there's not enough room to cater for everyone. We waited till 8 o'clock at night for the kids bingo which lasted all of 2 mins. The outdoor play things either didn't work or didn't have the equipment. No signs in the park to where things were like the laundrette. The only saving grace was a member if staff called Owen. He went out of his way to help unlike the rest. No after hour care to help if you had problems. In the end we booked from Saturday to Saturday but because of all the problems and the kids being older than 7 yrs old were so bored we packed up and left on the Wednesday morning first thing..... be rest assured we would never waste our money by going back there again.
Fantastic resort. We stayed in number 45 and it was a perfect location with a beautiful view of the beach below. Would definitely stay again, staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. It was so peaceful and relaxing and really quiet when we stayed the second week of January and just what we needed!Rooms: 5/5
Beautiful places, long walks up the beaches or coastal paths great views, caravan park was lovely with views across the countryside and coast , short walk to sandy mouth bay, dog friendly park staff can't do enough for you very friendly and helpful. Food was very nice . Great for a two week break for two adults looking to chill out this time of year would visit again.
We are locals who use the pool for teaching our grandchild to swim and go to aqua aerobics. My granddaughter also loves the soft play. It is wonderful that we can use this great facility throughout the year. I can't comment as a staying guest as I don't know but the staff we see are all very pleasant and helpful.Service: 5/5
First impressions on a bank holiday weekend, the site is very clean as are the caravans. Check in was a bit haphazard but manageable. Now the bad bit, staffing levels, the bars were full and only two people serving, woefully understaffed, that said the two women in the crows nest were always smiling. But come on Darwin Escapes, get your act together and staff the facilities to a suitable level, stop the spreadsheet management and join the real world. Those women were under so much pressure
The staff was very nice. Had a small issue with a CO2 alarm, and they fixed it promptly. Option to get food delivery at your caravan from the bistro only a few meal options Lovely location. Sandymouth Beach is at a 4-minute drive from the resort, and the coastal path is accessible from there, too. Car park was ok and during the summer it's a cafe open by the beach. Shops are at around 10 minutes' drive into Bude. Beautiful views from the resort. Lovely sunrises and sunsets
Lovely park even in the lowest of the low season beginning of Feb. Very comfortable caravan. Didn't get to try the pool as only here for a few days, but looks good. Good location for SWCP walkingRooms: 5/5
Fantastic static caravans on a five star site in my opinion. Beautiful location. We were lucky to have a sea view .10 minute drive to the beach and lovely coastal walks to Bude. The accommodation is very clean and well stocked. Love the addition of tea, coffee, t bags and milk and t towel and sponge with a little washing up liquid. Lovely restaurant and bar on site. The food we had was plentiful and delicious and we were both impressed. Went out of season so it was quiet but a swimming pool and soft play area and entertainment on site if required.Also a little shop for essentials. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Recycling on site. Great location for touring the local area. Very impressed. Keep up the good work. Loved it!
We have just returned from a 4 night stay here! We were all pleasantly surprised. The caravan was lovely. Had everything we needed and plenty of room for a 1 year old to explore. The facilities were also great. Really nice soft play and swimming pool. Although we didn't have a "sea view" caravan, we could still see most of it from certain windows, which was an added bonus. I'd definitely consider staying here again.
