Would highly recommend. Easy to find, very well presented from the moment you arrive. Beautiful cabins well equipped throughout. Loved the hot tub. Cannot thank the owners enough for there help with our last minute booking. Will definitely be booking again.

I stayed many years ago when I was about 7 and I still remember how much more I enjoyed staying there with my family than any of the children's package holiday. Lovely scenery and the lodge was beautiful.

First visit was to Toad lodge on a last minute weekend get away. Had a fabulous time. Loved the place and the nearby beaches and town of Bude so much we came back for a full week later in the year. 

Robin lodge was just as nice, hottub secluded with fabulous views. You can even watch the chickens from here or the nearby stream in the distance. Had a few visits from Sparkles the resident cat who might be the friendliest, most chilled cat I've ever met. 

Russ and Jools the owners work incredibly hard and are very hospitable, but leave you to enjoy the lodge and grounds unless you need them. 

The tray of welcome cider and cookies always go down well. There is also tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and sugar for your arrival. 

This time we borrowed some DVDs from the information room. This, too, is a nice touch. I've been to places that try to charge rent for DVDs but then are never around to serve you. Not so here. It really is like staying in your home from home or with friends. There are also no long lists of rules and regulations like I've seen elsewhere. Maybe just the occasional safety note by the hottub and BBQ which is necessary.

As well as that, fluffy towels, small bottles of toiletries and importantly lots of bits and pieces in the kitchen are provided, things like dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid... All things you need but don't want to take with you or buy just for a weekend or week's break. 

We love the Webber barbeques and made good use of them on both visits. 

Goes without saying, a daily dip or two in the hottub is a must. The hottubs are checked and maintained daily.

Supermarkets are close by, about 10 minutes by car to a small retail park. Morrison's, Lidl, even a B&M which a sells quite a bit of food and drink too. There's also a Sainsbury's further down by the nearby beaches. Lots of eateries to explore in the town.

Only constructive feedback for Russ and Jools is that the plumbing may need attention in Robin lodge. Everything seems to drain away very slowly. And the fridge freezer can be quite noisy which kind of spoils the peaceful setting if you are just sitting relaxing in the lodge. Perhaps these can be upgraded when it's time for them to be replaced. Just mentioning, did not spoil our enjoyment at all.
