Great service, very good food, large choice on the buffet menu. I would definitely recommend and go back. The buffet is actually freshly cooked and delivered to your table; Restaurant was busy but we did not have to wait for too long. Large selections available After having tried their take away during lock-down, the sit in was also a great experience.
Great food, reasonable service and average atmosphere. The prices are too high given all of that. Also, if I recall correctly, you have to buy a drink to get tap water! When we want better value and great food without the buffet concept, we go to Lantern House, Chelmsford.Food: 5/5
Visited on a Friday night. We booked a table and glad we did as it was busy. We didn't realise it was an 'all you can eat' style restaurant before going. A set price and you can order anything from the menu. A really good selection and the Chow Mein and vegetable spring roles were particularly good. Staff were helpful but it was tricky getting their attention at times as it was busy. Plastic bowls and plates which I personally didn't enjoy using and felt made it feel a bit cheap.
Had a really nice meal at San. Food was lovely and service was not to be faulted. Ordered our drinks first - no issues with that. There are some rules on the menu but what do you expect in a 'buffet' all you can eat restaurant? Some reviews complain about these. I do not understand why. Service charge is automatically added. Most places do this now anyway and do not tell you. Here you know and that is all you pay. Very happy with the food and service. We will come again.
As I can't leave a zero stars review, this is the best I can do. We stood in the restaurant that was empty for ten minutes with no-one appearing. A chap who had been playing with his phone outside came in and was obviously something to do with the restaurant. I said hello to him, he walked straight past me with no acknowledgement whatsoever and sat next to the kitchen door at the back of the restaurant again playing with his phone. We waited another few minutes while their phone was ringing off the hook, then turned round and walked out. So no stars for service or atmosphere... disgraceful!!

Not good at all, Hors Derves were ok but mains were cold and tasted plastic and like dish soap, came out cold, got told it wasn’t possible for it all to be cold, I’ve had Chinese delivery arrive hotter!! Staff were rude and rushed! Spoke to a man that I think was the manager, asked to reduce the bill as it was cold, got told we should have asked for it to be re cooked! Said he couldn’t reduce the bill so asked him to take the service charge off but he refused then started shouting at us couldn’t understand him as he had a mask on offered to pay for drinks and he shouted dont bother! Very rude and aggressive towards two women! Was very embarrassing as we were trying to be nice but they were rude, food was disgusting, place has no atmosphere as well! Won’t ever be going back!
So, the food here is very good, far better than any other buffet, however as this is a buffet where you have to order to receive it fresh, you need to order it with the waiter or waitress, they are exceedingly brilliant as avoiding eye contact with anyone thus preventing you from being able to order all their wonderful food. My advice is to order 2 or 3 dishes then when they bring it over order another one immediately, if going in a big group beware because they will claim that you have underpaid when you haven't, my advice is don't be the last one to pay. I'm still going to give this restaurant 4 stars despite this because the food is that great..... When you can get it.
Ordered the king prawn balls sweet n sour. Worst I’ve ever tasted. I bet they couldn’t eat it. No taste no salt. Also £3 dearer than elsewhere. Poor good today and so expensive
