I had my car Mot and passed with suspension advisories In less then 24 hours the wheel nearly fell off due to the drive shift comming out due to the ball joint they said was an advisory and NOT failed. As much as they protest it was slight play on the ball joint ,there wasn't even any grease on the ball joint and hadn't been for some miles and there for they should of picked up a more then just slight play and a metal on metal noise on it.The fact that in less then 15 miles from test station to work shows it was dangerous and put my life at risk. I'm angry at there negligence and lack of compassion they showed me when I spoke on the phone to them and even more when it went down to see them.Both guys I spoke to just thought I was picking a fight with them and all I was doing was letting them know what had happend and how I feel strongly they should help me sort my car out at there exspence. I believe they should of failed it and save me the damage to my car and luckily not someone else's if I had crashed it to someone. Now my car is in a worse state rather then changing the part that clearly failed in front of them and just changing it. They wouldn't have any of and it just shows you even things do get missed. things. There is no way an advisory part if they had seen I heard it properly in there 45 minute mot fail in 15 miles and if they think we'll that's my problem as they keep saying,THEY should of FAILED it kept my car sade on the road as and MOT should. I will be contacting DVSA as they just seem to laugh at me when I suggest that's the action I will take if they can't even try meet my half way of exspence due to there negligence . THE COMPONENT HAD ALREADY FAILED AND NOT FAILLING AS OWNER IS CONTESTING BECAUSE THE BALL JOINT JOINT HAD NO GREASE LEFT AND BEEN RUBBING METAL ON METAL FOR WEEKS BECAUSE I COULD HEAR IT WHEN DRIVING . First time I've bought my car to this place and will definitely not be the last. My insignia had been playing up for a while with one thing and another and had hit the point where it was in error/service mode and driving like a slug. I work on the industrial estate and these guys were recommended to me, so I gave them a call. Same day - in - put to computer - too many error codes to decipher what the real problem was, so the nice fella cleared them, told me to take the car, drive it about for a couple of days, or until it goes into error again, then bring it back for another hit. No charge!! Eden would charge upwards of £100 for "diagnosis" Car duly goes into error after about a day, straight back in again and left with them. Error codes indicate glow plugs issue in cyl 1 and cyl 4. Same nice fella is apologetic because the car has pressure sensors on each plug, meaning each one costs over £110. I say just go for it - I need the car and can't carry on like this, so it's gotta be done. Parts hadn't arrived by close of play, so nice fella gave me the "loaner". Not a great car, but works, gets me to where I need and offered as a courtesy - so taken as such and really helps. Next day, car is done, bill gets paid by me. I don't want to tempt fate, but it's been over a week now since the job was done and my car drives like a dream - certainly when compared to the preceding weeks and months. It used to have a real judder on acceleration, which I had told Eden on multiple occasions but they could not find out why they said but still charged me for the privilege of them looking. After continually using the official Vauxhall dealer - thinking that's the best thing for the car, but becoming more and more disillusioned with them, I think that I'll be much, much happier using a local independent. And this particular local independent care about what they do and care about the customer and their car. Sorry about the long winded way of saying so, but I highly recommend this company. Nigel and his team were fabulous as ever, the replaced my daughter's brake pads quickly and efficiently and booked her her in for another job next week. I was just the taxi but booked mine in for a service and MOT in the same visit. Fab garage, fab staff, I wouldn't go anywhere else!
I picked this garage because their website listed Nissan as one manufacturer they specialise in. So far so good. Good service and value.
