A beautiful place to visit especially on a sunny day. Lots of activities available and a lovely place for dog walking and a day out. Has everything needed for a great family activity day to a quiet lone walk with the dog. A lot is wheelchair accessible.
Great quick circular with the optional extra to leave the waterpark and join the river Merseyside walking route. If not then a nice few circulars of the waterpark itself where there are toilet facilities and also food and drink under the restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. On site ice cream van in these nice months aswell. All in all a lovely spot.
Nice scenic flat walk ideal for kids the stepping stones are a bonus too
We had a paddleboard lesson. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience. Would highly recommend.
Lovely place for a stroll and dog friendly. Water sports and nature reserve. Cafe Bar, restaurant, toilets large car park and Ice-cream van Is often In residence. There are activity days during the summer with lifeguard on patrol. Restrooms: Free toilets Dog-friendliness: Dogs need to be under control at all times because the swans, ducks and geese are often walking about. Picnic area: Lot's of nice spots for picnics but please take all your litter home.
First visit, it was amazing and the views are stunning, especially with the sun shining Ideal for anyone, it is surrounded by wonderful nature, swans, moorhens and ducks. There is a small cafe near the entrance, a good choice of food and drinks. Also there is a bigger restaurant near the water, where you will get a much better view of everything. If your feeling adventurous, you can have a go in a kayak or go paddleboarding or ride around on a bike. Better still you can walk around the water , you can take your time and admire the views and if you need a rest there are plenty of benches.
Had a lovely family meet up here today. Some of the family did a paddleboard experience, the rest of us swam a bit &enjoyed the : Dog-friendliness: Our pooch had a great day playing in the water :
Had a lovely walk around the water park, took me around 1hr at a leisurely pace. Good place to get some fresh air and a bit of exercise. Stopped at the Lake view cafe for a coffee which is situated below Boat house restaurant, a lovely place for a brew looking over the lake. The car parking was free when I went Jan 2022 and plenty of spaces.
A great walk around a beautiful lake. It's fairly flat apart from a slight incline to get to the main car park. There are stepping stones at one side of the lake. There are lots of birds on the water canada geese, swans, moor hens, cormorants, herons, ducks. There is a small cafe at the lake which does excellent food and The Boathouse restaurant. It's free to park and walk around. A great couple of hours. Dogs are welcome too.
Easy access by tram or car. Free parking. Beautiful just to walk around, but also has organised water sports, open water swimming and fishing.. Plus a more classy restaurant and a more sausage n egg barm cafe. Dog friendly. Ace free day out for kids to run off their energy and explore. Brilliant day out with family
