I absolutely love this shop , prices, service choice …staff are very helpful and pleasant. I’m a hotelier in Ayr and our house is 5 minutes walk from Prestwick beach.nIt makes my daily routiine just so much better. Please don’t ever close
On two occasions I have had to have my full shop unpacked and re-scanned. I was under the impression that the scan a self pack was in place to make the process more convenient for shoppers not to add a further 20 mins on. Customers including myself will start to go elsewhere. Not good enough Sainsbury’s.
It is ridiculous that anyone should have to fight their way in to get their groceries with employees that are parking their big carts in the middle of each isle... seriously pull that thing in close to where you're needing to be! We the customer is what keeps the stores open to pay for the employees and if we can't get what we are there for or get fed up and leave to go to another store then it's you that loses out in the end over something like customer service/ appreciation! Those people push you out of the way to get groceries for someone that couldn't be bothered to show up and walk in whereas the customer that shows up and walks around is likely to spend more due to walking around... not when you don't feel welcomed, get pushed/ forced out of the way or can't reach half your grocery list because of these employees and their large carts blocking everything. Like pulling in close to what you need is hard. Absolutely no care shown for the customers that take their time to walk into the store for their shopping.
Would have given it 5 stars if it hadn't been for the young male till operator in the garage, Prestwick who, when I reported the nozzle getting stuck in my petrol tank and took me a bit of wrenching to free it, just gave a 'no one else has reported it' reply. As if it was my fault,- I only wanted to let them know! Then my nectar card wouldn't scan, that I had just used in the shop. He tried it a couple of times, and was not pleased and showed it. Basically saying nothing could be done! His co worker, also male, saved the day by being a bit more compassionate and understanding. Advised contacting nectar direct on the receipt. We all have bad days but that was ridiculous!
Very close to my home mostly I get all my needs here if I could get some halal products will be more helpful pls.
