I loved Lidl. Even when I lived in Finland I loved Lidl. However just lately the store in Ayr seems to have let standards slip. The shop seems disorganised, the product choice and availability is less than it was and generally looked 'scruffy' around the edges.nThe store still has some good produce at a reasonable price but standards have slipped.
I was visiting this place to buy a few things for my daughter. I couldn't find a few items so I was stuck. Then I went to the till to ask for help. The lady there arranged someone to help. This person is called Sean. He was so helpful and he knew all the stuff like a Wikipedia. Also the security person Mo was kind enough to assist. Thanks to all the staff who has the heart to help.
Quite a large store with good parking. Plenty of self service checkouts to avoid queuing. Exit is via a smart gate which reads a barcode on your receipt
Good choice of food. Bakery is large and food is tasty. Middle aisle products are usually good price too.
Great prices, good shop layout, fresh fruit and veg. Good fresh bread and cake selection.
