went in today to get some bits had a can of monster and i had a bottle of malibu. one lady came over and approved it but suddenly another member of staff turned up asking for our ID. we happily gave it to her when she suddenly refused to service us the drinks. when i asked why she said my partners ID was out of date. she could clearly read on the ID my partner is 31 as of yesterday and i’m 28. she asked who’s the drinks belong to so i said ones mine others is his but she toon them both away from us. if you wanna do a quick google the law states an expired ID is valid as long as your picture is on it and it loons like you. it takes a lot for me to complain and i don’t do complaints but this grey haired lady with of course a face mask who works at Stafford on Chell Road is an absolute jobsworth.
Good superrmarket with a good selection of quality food. We found here things impossible to find somewere else in Stafford such as the Argentinian Dulce de Leche, good squid rings and all the flavours of the Hagen Daz ice creams.nIn the shop you have also handy facilities like the photo passport machine and ATM.
Since the pandemic I haven't done much in-person shopping. Unfortunately, a recent chance visit to the store has only convinced me to stick to having my shopping delivered. I thoroughly appreciate the need for heightened security in this day and age, but the level of suspiciousness exhibited by some staff made me feel really uncomfortable. Not a great experience.
Expensive unless you want to walk around with your smart phone getting all the nectar offers. I refuse to do that smart shop. You have to pay for parking but get it refunded in store if you spend more than £5. Normally a long wait in line for the ticket machine. Car park gets flooded often.
As always this store is great. I visit when I can because not only the staff are friendly and helpful, the store is big and there are lots of clothing inside. Glad they have toilets too. Just visited so I'll be back again soon
