We had a great experience at Sagardi. Service was very friendly and professional. Rich knowledge regarding products they are serving. We ordered one steak for share as we thought it will be enough but easily next time we will order two or mix. Meat really good quality. We have been treated with sausages as welcome and shot of liquor for goodbye. Even though it was spontaneous trip and we didn’t dressed up we still have been treated with respect which I put a lot of attention to as on many occasions service in different places judge people based on what they wear. Definitely soon we will be back again and with clean conscious I can recommend this place.
One of the best meals of my life. The Cheesecake was so unique and amazing. We ended up ordering two orders of chistorra. The fish and meat was incredible. The only thing I wish was that there were more green roasted peppers as an appetizer. Great red wines from the basque region. Highly recommended.
Just to be clear, the food and wine was outstanding - steak, croquettes, leeks, omelette, basque cheesecake were all standouts. However, given the price tag, the service really let the whole experience down. The server gave no explanation of the menu in terms of number of dishes to order etc, no rapport, and when asking questions about the steaks and sizes it felt like we were an inconvenience. The slightly older guy who served us the desserts at the end was great though.
The place looks very good but the food is not. I have tried many Dry-Age beef around the world and this one is not up to my standard. I got the premium cut which was 60 days Dry-Age Spanish beef. The meat is super soft just like wagyu beef but there are no beef or umami flavours on it at all. I love the beef to have a cheesy funk on it. The cooking of the beef is very good and just right at medium rare but there seasoning is not good. No salt or pepper. They should have put it on after the cutting of the beef. Is the beef worth it at £13.50?Well a big No. I would rate it to be £8 My own DIY Dry-Age 45 days Wagyu M9+ is far better than this but I know it's not fare. My is Dry-Age Wagyu. The other dishes are OK nothing special.
Amazing steak that is cooked almost right in front of you. Honestly this is the best steak I have tried in Barcelona. Would highly recommend. The service is very friendly and very kind. They will help with anything you may need. I really enjoyed my time here with my friends. We had a big table and a big steak haha! For the ones that are struggling to find good steak in Barcelona - try this!
Very tasty medium rare steak and perfectly cooked grilled octopus, classic rioja 2018. Went for a long overdue catch-up with a friend. Tentative and friendly staff. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
I thoroughly enjoyed my time tonight at Sagardi. The staff was attentive and kind. They answered many of my questions and provided many suggestions to ensure a great experience. The appetizer was a great start. The creamy swiss chard was delicious. The txuleton vaca was amazing. Perfectly cooked, nice charred edge, and well seasoned. You could tell the meat was well rested because there were no excess juices running on the plate. The warm basque cheesecake was the most delicious end to a wonderful meal. It was soft, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. I will definitely be coming back before returning to the US.
The starters portion were larger than we thought which is a bonus. Good price ratio probably due to its location being in Shoreditch. The steak was immaculate for the basque genre. The manager was super helpful and attentive. The wine list was also somewhat interesting. Will definitely come back again.Food: 5/5
I’ve been at this restaurant three times now. Frankly, the food really is excellent. Tasting menu is great and the steak is delicious. However, as lots of people have said in the comments, the service is horrendous. Last time I went there was a couple of days ago we spent £500 for three persons. One of the waiters was very rude and impolite. This sadly destroyed the whole experience. Won’t go back there anymore. There are many other similar places in London, with expensive but excellent steak, but with professional service.
I wanted to come to this restaurant so much, and I saw lots of comments on Little Red Book, it really worth a go and I'll definitely visit again! All the staffs are friendly especially Alessandro. We enjoy the Sunday Roast, and I even took away the remaining food as free takeaway bagFood: 5/5
