Saffron Summer looks like your standard posh Indian restaurant from the outside but the experience is really special. The menu has clearly had a lot of hard work and thought go into it with fantastic authentic dishes and really original modern ideas. The chef is excellent, our food is always superbly made with great attention to detail. Definitely get the starter 'shots' from the nibbles menu, a really delicious and fun experience. The space can be a bit dimly lit but it's very clean and feels upmarket. Service is always superb. You get what you pay for here.

Best Indian I have been to I think ever! The balance of flavours and spices was great, really lifting the dishes to the next level. Order the taste tickler...it does not disappoint. Butter chicken and pudding were great too. Staff were very attentive. Had to wait a bit for main but food was worth it. Will come back with guests.

We went here for the first time this week based on a friend's recommendation. It is a pretty looking restaurant inside despite the big roundabout outside. The food was fabulous. We shared a starter of spicy prawns on a bed of crab kedgeree. The taste was great. Small but perfectly formed. It's not your typical heavy Indian curry meal. All the flavours were fresh and light. We streamed a fish curry with a sliced duck dish. We will definitely go back. It's such a varied menu. The staff were welcoming and friendly. They gave me a sticky toffee pudding on the house with a candle when they realised it was my birthday. A nice touch. Can't wait to try more of the unusual dishes on the menu.

Food was excellent and service was attentive. The starters were really tasty, pulled pork was a real surprise and probably my favourite although the Lamb Chops were cooked perfectly. Butter Chicken and Wild Boar Vindaloo were also really pleasant. Top food.

Simply excellent. Had the tasting menu which just seemed to get better and better. It's fine dining style Indian, so don't expect each course to be huge, but do expect everything to be made with skill and attention to detail.
