Sarab – Taste of Persia, established in 1999, is one of Londons’ first and finest authentic Persian Restaurants. Persian food will take you on a journey through the exotic tastes of Iran and into an unforgettable fascinating world of flavour. Went here on a Sunday for some light dinner, wasn’t busy at all but that was no consolation. The service was great and the food was very tasty and served hot. Would recommend.
Very friendly staff. Excellent value for money. Ordered a platter for 2. Meat was very tender and we'll seasoned. We went at a quiet time really nice inside. They also have a nice outside area for the summer. Unfortunately don't have saffron tea but they do have cinnamon and cardamom tea which is absolutely amazing. Really good place to eat!!
Would give it no stars if I could! Ordered delivery at 8pm confirmed. At 9pm I receive a call to say they have no liver so I had to replace item with something else. 9:30pm received delivery 1.5hrs on a Sunday night to find out they have not got pita bread for my mezze platter, or my grilled halloumi! I called the restaurant and they were adament it's been delivered! I'm telling them they can come to my house and check, it's not there!!! They still said it is in the order!! I am furious that I've paid for something that is not delivered and they won't even believe me!! Had to drive the entire order back to them. Absolutely ridiculous and for them to tell me they are closed now so can't do anything about it!! Food arrived cold and was awful!! Lamb wrap was soggy and raw dough. Halloumi had bits of salad inside the box which shouldn't belong in there. Chips were cold and soggy with bag broken at the bottom The manager was rude and would not accept he was wrong!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!
A great place to eat with lots of choices. Healthy choices and great grillled meats . The ambiance is brilliant with great decor. The staff are very knowledgable about the menu and very welcoming. They have won an award recently to ! So if you want something then you have to go . I can’t fault it really .
Perfection at its finest. PLEASE KINDLY READ! I went to this restaurant on Friday 7th May 2021 purposely stating the exact date so that the owner knows I appreciated his hospitality with my girlfriend to break my fast for Ramadan. Without a doubt, the most enlightening evening I've ever had and I truly enjoy my fine dining. The food was cooked to absolute perfection. Fragrant, gorgeous barberry rice, koobideh was absolute heaven, chicken and king prawns were so succulent and flavoursome. Vegetables literally melted in my mouth. The owner was a pure angel and even though we arrived slightly late following our reservation, he welcomed us with refreshing, sweet Persian dates and ensured that the food was cooked rapidly for us so we could break our fast happily and to sure say, we did is an understatement. Our Persian mint, ginger and saffron tea with organic cane sugar was gorgeous. I really wanted to go out of my way to tip the owner on this night but I only brought enough on me as I'm constantly travelling for work. I will genuinely return as much as I can to this restaurant just because of your fabulous service. I wish I could thank the owner himself I believe he is the owner as he was serving us with full appreciation however, I hope he does read this and remember our presence. You honestly made my year. Thank you for a such a beautiful experience. Anybody whom decides to post even the slightest negative review is lieing to you so please ignore anything but positive feedback. This restaurant is now known as KoKo previously it was known as Sarab. It is a Persian restaurant with a very delicate touch. It's ambiance is classy but also oriental. Lit with beautiful large glass chandeliers and really nice & luxurious wallpaper, just it's ambiance will fill your appetite let alone is delicious cuisine. Serving Authentic Persian meals, this restaurant also has a wine bar.
Nice authentic Persian food close to home. Have had the pleasure numerous times with just family as well as friends and visitors. Everyone really enjoyed the food, the flavour and the atmosphere. Great for families as well as takeaway. Get everything at least once... You'll come again so pace yourself!
Cute place. I got a fillet. It was very juicy but I was surprised by the flavours. My meal took a while to be cooked. I suspect because everything was made from scratch. Would give a 5 star if the wait between starter and mains was not such a long wait
The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and made the experience stress free. The menu was not too large and having Iranian friends helped the choice of excellent food. We will definitely go again.
Bland food and small portions, delivered with VERY slow service. Not sure if the waiter was having a bad day-either way, not a justification for the attitude I received when placing my order. A simple request for allergen information was met with a very cold and abrupt response and a refusal to ask the kitchen staff for further information. A very awkward interaction. Left a very bitter taste and ruined the atmosphere of the table.
