The food was good quality . Meat seemed Tk be cooked well ,but felt like colour has been used in the tandoori . I’m vegetarian I ordered Bhindi which was really bad . They had not cooked it that well and I did complain , but he just smiled and replied - it’s the chefs problem . Panner curry was made spice with chilli flakes . Naan and rice was good .
We ordered biryani but got a box of curry and rice mixed. Chicken used was frozen, not fresh and bland. Overall very disappointed and believe the area deserves a better Indian cuisine.
Hi my husband and I were here having a meal last night. It was the best curry that we have ever had. The taste, and all the spices were amazing. It was so good. We will definitely will be back. The service and staff was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Portrush on a bank holiday weekend us a food nightmare with too many people crammed into too few tables everywhere. Saffron Indian was a FIND! Very friendly staff could seat seven of us golfing party and the service and food was great! Decor a bit dated, but sorted out seven hungry golfers very nicely. Locals seem to like it too.
Disappointing. I’ve had Indian food all over the world and was expecting this to be the same, but both dishes we tried were very sweet and shouldn’t have been. It seems like they have altered the food for a less spicy palate, but if that is the case they should call it something different because we were expecting a normal chicken tikka masala and chicken korma and and what we got was very different. Service was good, location is good just food is disappointing.
We used to go here quite regularly when we had a holiday home in the area so this was our first visit in a couple of years. My wife and I's opinion is " disappointing". No poppadoms or dips to start they used to arrive immediately on the table in the past and other GOOD Indian restaurants still do it . The food was fine - but not exceptional. When my wife asked for her unfinished meal to be boxed to take away, two empty cartons + lids + a plastic bag were set in front of her. DIY in the extreme and silly, short sighted cost cutting.
Really enjoy the food, we’ve tried so many different dishes from this restaurant and never let us down! Highly recommended
Delicious food and a good, varied selection. Veggie options were fab... The staff were so friendly and service was very quick, highly recommend. Decor a bit dated and from the outside it looks more like a takeaway only - but definitley worth a sit down dinner.
Great little gem of a restaurant, recommend to sit in over taking away. Service is very friendly and I can recommend almost anything on the menu, haven't had a bad meal yet.
Saag Paneer and Parathas are must try. The curry that comes with Chicken biryani is lovely but the biryani rice could be prepared better. Quantity is also good enough. Starters need to be cooked well especially the lamb ones. Overall, a nice place for an Indian meal, spices are at the right amount. Service is amazing, the person helped us to choose better dishes. Thank you Vegetarian options: Paneer and vegetables dishes are available and must try. Loved Saag Paneer especially Parking: Parking is available in front of the restaurant however if the spaces are occupied, there is a paid car park nearby at £1 an hour charge
