Lacked a lot of taste in the main dishes I ordered which was a chicken balti it was very bland, full of drunks so not a nice ambiance but it was 9pm on a Sat night. Was slightly overpriced I thought though nothing outrageous. I would not go back there as there are plenty of other nice Indians in Newcastle that I frequent. The nans and side dishes were quite tasty so maybe we got a bad night!
In a nut shell, they wouldn't let my father-in law's guide dog in!! chef came out of the kitchen with a hammer to get us out. Obviously we were upset at this point. police called. slapped them on the wrist, ate somewhere else. Besides that, it wasn't too bad...
So So. We choose this place as it opened a bit later than the others in the centre. Service was ok and friendly enough but the food was average - the chicken madras sauce was a bit bland. Chips, pilau rice & paratha nice enough though.
I was in Newcastle for a week and tried this indian restaurant two times. Fantastic food, best indian restaurant I have visited outside India.
I didn't like this place very much, food was very bland and very small portions, the service was not good long waits for your food and not very friendly...
Food cold bad as we we're the only ones there
