The staff at Safestore Edinburgh Gyle has been brilliant. In June my son was moving out of the university hall and we just don’t have enough space in car to bring everything home. The Safestore staff came to the rescue when we turned up on a Friday afternoon with lots stuff to store and offered us a pallet storage as all boxes were full. When we eventually got back to collect it in October they were helpful, sympathetic and humorous. The monthly storage fees were excellent value for money and they also immediately refunded the unused week. A really positive experience and a place to go back to at the end of next academic year.
I recently visited Safestore Self Storage Edinburgh Gyle looking to rent a unit to store some of my belongings. I am currently moving to Scotland from the US. I showed up on a very busy Saturday afternoon and there were several other customers there. Gary was managing the store by himself and was very patient and helpful with everyone. He displayed superior customer service under pressure. Gary helped me to find my unit and move my things from my car. He explained the process and the rules very clearly for renting my unit. He helped me feel at ease about leaving my things at Safestore Self Storage. An international move can be very stressful, but Gary helped to make me feel welcomed in my new home. If all of the people I meet in Scotland are as helpful and friendlly as Gary, then I am certain I made the right choice moving to Scotland.
I needed some storage space whilst I was looking for my new home. I was able to get a quote, view the unit and access it the same day and the process was very smooth. The unit was reasonably priced, easy to access by car and had handy amenities such as trolleys and a lift. Highly recommend it!
I can’t fault the service I received from Safestore Gyle. Throughout the entire time I have been a customer almost 5 years now Gary has been the face of the branch for me, always there to lend a hand or let me know what’s happening with my deliveries etc. Gary made my experience with Safestore outstanding, I never had any issues with my service and he was always a friendly face to see in the morning. On the odd occasion I had to bring my kids along while doing some work, he would go out of his way to chat to them and even gave them little treats to save them getting bored while I was busy! I’ve recently left due to work reasons however will very much miss coming in branch now, if you’re looking for storage solutions, Gary at Safestore will look after you, I have no doubt. Gavin and colleague was extremely helpful today. I dropped off a DHL Parcel and they helped answer questions that I had, I don’t usually send parcels and so had forgotten what number was being used as a tracker, they kindly went through this with me on the phone. Thanks for your patience.
I had booked my storage unit over the phone in August 2 months in advance. It turns out all the information I was given over the phone was incorrect and my unit hadn't even been booked. I hadn't been told I needed to bring 2 x forms of ID etc. and I was made to feel that this was my fault. I was told that that the person who made my booking was no longer in the business as he did things wrong. Again I wasn't to know - he said to me he was store manager. It was a stressful experience that I thought I had organised and sorted months previous!
Friendly and very helpful. property is well looked after and very neat and secure. easy to access for use and they have all the equipment you can use in the move.
Lovely staff took me through sign up and showed me my unit. No access when no staff on site is reassuring. But total lack of signage within store means relying on memory of the maze to find my unit again.
Price competitive. Safe, secure and clean storage. Very helpful staff.
Staff were really nice and helpful at all times & I had a great experience storing my stuff there for almost a year.
