I have been a regular customer of S&B for several years, and although in the past I have been given several very damaged vans with bulbs out and check engine lights on and ignored it, my last experience was TERRIBLE! My small Peugeot van broke down when being returned to the depot after 2 different check engine lights came on. The next day I was charged an extra £50 which was just taken from my account with no word as to why, but I was later to discover this was because it had “run out of fuel”. Luckily I take photos of mileage when I hire and I had proof that I had covered just 13 miles that day, that the van said it had 84 miles left in the tank when I collected, with no fuel light on so that meant it should have had 65-70 miles left in the tank and either it hadn’t run out of fuel and actually broke down or the fuel gauge was faulty. Either way, this is not something I should have to pay for! I have complained and been told that it did run out of fuel….which if this is true it means the van had a faulty fuel gauge! NOT HAPPY and won’t be using or recommending them ever again.

Do not use this company rude staff and apparently can just cancel bookings when they feel like it. Arrived to collect our minibus which had been booked for months for a hen party to be told no reservation in our name. This is despite two telephone conversations and booking confirmation with the company. I have never experienced such poor customer service and attitude from the lady at the customer desk. I was told there is no complaints process and would not be given the Managers name but instead had a piece of paper thrown at me with a general e-mail address on. The result was I had one devastated bride to be on her hen party.

Ordered a luton van to move house. On the day they said I didn't and gave me a sprinter size van and said there is nothing they can do. Ironically luton vans were sitting outside there shop all day??? Never ever use them again. What a joke company
