Had a long weekend away and visited the museum on the last day. We have been there a few times and always find something new. We also went to the Barn tea room close by for a pie and pea lunch.....which was delicious.

Great place full of history. Relaxing environment of replica buildings from the stone age on.😊😊😊

Took a party of Year 4 kids for a Victorians day - they absolutely loved it. They got to handle lots of artifacts, took part in home and school activities, and explored the site. The staff were experienced and informative, and the activities sparked the kids' imaginations. A great day overall.

Lovely museum in beautiful, idyllic surroundings. Plenty to see and do in the museum that will keep all ages interested. There's even a small art gallery. Definitely one of the best Yorkshire museums you'll find. Parking is available just next door to the museum.
