Set beside Ryde pier and 100m from the bus station arriving here puts the Isle of Wight available to you for a day trip from Southsea. Cars go to other towns. Friendly staff manage the customers and are happy to put you on earlier 'flights' if you don't want to wait for your booked time. There are 25% discounts for members of various organisations and combined tickets with discounts if you just want to go the East Cowes and Osborne House. No 4 bus will take you there and return to the terminal. one per hour only!.nIt is not noisy and the seating is not cramped. At only 10 minutes to cross the Solent there is no time to worry if your children don't know what to expect. Some souvenirs are available in the ticket office and toilets too. Once you arrive in Portsmouth there are busses or only a short walk to the Hard and busses and trains. Parking is close at hand as are bicycle storage facilities.
It's right next to transport hub which has been totally regenerated , so it's easy to get the bus or train for onward travel on the island. The huge beach and Ryde town centre are only a few minutes walk away. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and check in is a doddle. The waiting room fills up quickly though as the departure time arrives.

Excellent Hover experience, Friendly staff, Clean and well-maintained....Highly recommended. It takes 10 minutes from Portsmouth Southsea to Ryde. It's a super exciting journey.
Had to wait a long time such, Weren’t even in the reserve queue, we had already booked tickets, dreadful noise, only update we ever got, was for someone who had lost their umbrella. as I am writing this, I am STILL IN THE HOVERTRAVEL LOUNGE… still nothing…
