Oscar and team are the best. Super helpful and kind. Very homely and the post office staff are cool too. Wishing them the best of health and all blessings.
Lovely little place, even though only open 9-6pm. Welcomed addition, this is a modern no nonsense pharmacy that can get most items/meds. Also post office is efficient and friendly. Lots on offer otherwise in the shop. Difficult to park around though.
I have been using this as my main pharmacy for years and keep coming back for the brilliant customer service. The pharmacist Oscar is always extremely friendly and more than happy to go out of his way to be helpful. The Post Office staff are the same, often making conversation and asking how I am even if I'm only there to pick up a prescription. Lovely little pharmacy I won't go anywhere else.
Very attentive, providing careful consideration of your ailments and suggesting good advice and options… Also their post office window has the quickest service in the area…
They ordered a prescription for my daughters medication. When it didn’t turn up 24 hours later they said they had no way of knowing if it would ever turn up and couldn’t call their supplier as that isn’t how things work. They they said they were doing me a favour! Ridiculous.
Go often to this post office as it is the closest to my house. However, very rarely have I had a good morning or a thank you before I left from them. Today I went in there to post something to my family and was screamed at by a staff member named Charles after I said I wanted tracked and signed instead of first class. He proceeded to lecture me and make a scene, when what I was asking wasn’t that much of a big deal. I paid the difference happily but the post office clerk then panicked and got his money confused. He asked me then to give him all the money I had in my purse... and didn’t listen when I said I had more money there what he had given me. An utter mess, a rude awful man that does not know how to ad and subtract and a vile one that said I shouldn’t come back there again. What’s not to love about this customer service? Avoid at any cost. And yes, I will now be writing a formal complaint to the post office.
Today was the first time I set foot into the pharmacy on Saturday 6th March 2021 around 12noonish. I spoke to the pharmacist very politely and he seemed helpful at first but when I asked him if he had the eye drops I usually buy he told me they didn't have it, he tried to be helpful and get a substitute. The problem came when he picked up a Green Hycosan eyedrop and told me about the Hylo dual. I told him I get hylo on prescription. Now as an NHS worker, I felt insulted and abused when he said to me... you can't afford £15.99 ? I said why would I pay for it when I can get this on prescription because I get the red hylo on prescription but I buy hycosan dual. 1 bottle on prescription vs paying 15.99? It doesn't make sense to buy it otc. I am very insulted that you didn't know who I was or any medical history yet had the audacity to insult me. They are only after money and do not have good people skills.I would never ever ever come here again. I would not recommend this pharmacy. The other server on the post office section seemed nicer. Sadly my first experience here will be my last. You should train the Spanish pharmacist on customer service.
Excellent service and friendly staff who care for their customers well. Oscar, the pharmacist is especially good and knows everyone's names.
I have used this post office and chemist for over five years. I have previously found the staff to be helpful and professional.Unfortunately today we had an awful experience which left us very upset. My father is terminally ill and in a wheelchair. He wanted to post a parcel so I took him to the local postoffice in Dulwich Village. It was difficult to access the shop in a wheelchair we had to go in backwards and then tightly corner to reverse without bumping into any of the displays. I understand that many of the shops in Dulwich Village are very small so we are used to that but, whilst the shopkeepers are normally extremely helpful and kind , it was clear from the outset that the person who was later identified as the shop owner but said he did not want to identify himself was not happy. He stood behind the post office counter which was too high for my father to reach with his arms folded and glared at us whilst we tried to manoeuvre around the shop . As my father couldn't reach the counter I asked if the shopkeeper could advise us on what postage to use and what parcel covering to buy. He glared at me and mumbled a response. My father can't hear well and I couldn't understand what he was saying so we had to ask him, politely, to repeat what he had said so we could hear. He barked back a responses. Unfortunately the pen we had brought with us also wouldn't work on the plastic parcel covering that he had suggested we buy so we asked if we could buy or borrow a suitable pen and if he might be able to help us weigh the parcel. The shopkeeper then proceeded to shout at and berate us in the middle of the shop. We felt belittled, bullied and humiliated. My father cannot help being disabled and needing some additional support - we really were not being unreasonable. The other shop workers who had normally been so nice pretended they couldn't hear what was going on. I asked the chemist, who I have spoken to over the years and always found helpful , why this was happening - he said the man was the shop owner and could do what he wanted. I was so shocked. I had assumed that this was a one off but it appears from reading other reviews on the Chemist Rumsey Pharmacy- see below and on the East Dulwich Forum that this is not a one off and at least one other customer has also been shouted at. I had always thought that post office and chemist services were the heart of the community. If there are members of the community that you don't wish to serve then perhaps you another career would be more suitable. Fortunately I have found the vitamins that we normally buy here for £5 less on the internet and the post offices in East Dulwich and West Dulwich are extremely helpful so we won't be missing out! For other people who are considering using Dulwich Village Post Office or Chemist - if you are able bodied and not in a wheel chair I am sure you will be fine but if you are there are far more helpful and less discriminatory places on Lordship Lane , Herne Hill and West Dulwich.
Oscar and the team are brilliant. Professional, friendly and always takes time to help. Post Office team exceptionally helpful too. Thank you.
