The Royal Observatory Greenwich is situated at the top of a hill in Greenwich Park which is the location of the prime meridian - so we also call it Greenwich Mean Time. The the top of the hill you will lovely views of the River Thames and the whole park. If you are walking with small kids it’s worth the walk as there are really nice children play areas in the way up. I recommend the Pavilion Cafe at the top of the hill opposite the Observatory for a bite.

Important historical scientific site, the home of time and space. This is where Greenwich Mean Time was measured from and also there exists (outside it's physically drawn on the floor) the line on either side of which lies the Eastern and the Western hemispheres. The Royal park outside is good and has excellent views. I discovered that you can see some exhibits for free by just going to the cafe at the back of the building.

The Royal Observatory is building that marks the line of the Greenwich Meridian. One can see a view of the city of London particular Canary Wharf and it's surrounding buildings. The grounds are luscious and extremely vast. One can picnic there and enjoy the freshness of the air. The Royal Observatory is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Although, you will find that the grounds are open till much later.

A must see for anyone interested in science or science history. The camera obscura was fascinating and gives insight into how cameras work. This is a great thing for parents to show their kids. Their exhibition on the history of timekeeping was also incredibly interesting and gave a lot of insight into the efforts taken to give us something we now take for granted.

Recently been to Sky tonight show and its simply amazing. The guide who took us through the ride was very knowledge and polite. If you love astrology and related topics then this is a must go place if you are in London. The dorm (space) inside the planatarium is very alluring. There are quite a few shows running during week and weekends. Lovely atmosphere inside out. Friendly staff. Highly recommend this place. Thanks.
