Stayed for one night after visiting Zipworld Caverns for an adventure. Booked two rooms at a very reasonable £85 per room. Room was clean and tidy, well furnished etc. TV a little small but hey the view's outside right?! Shower was amazing, hot and powerful. Only negative is that the room was way too hot. Windows open all night and still too hot to sleep. Luscious thick quilt may have been the culprit. Normally wouldn't bother me but our friends were also uncomfortably warm, so it's not just me. Perhaps supply a sheet under the quilt for those who roast under a duvet. Other than that an excellent stay. Breakfast...try the salmon and scrambled eggs... its delicious. Oh and the bar is pretty sweet too!

Booked two nights at the Oak, superior double with breakfast, and had a pleasant stay. The building is an old coaching inn, with a few modern touches, and some traditional. The room was clean and recently decorated, with a very comfortable bed and all the usual supplies, although perhaps one too many chairs. Not the best choice of toilet paper either, slightly reminiscent of the old school tracing paper type. Breakfast was very tasty, quality ingredients and good choice of cereal, pastries, fruit etc. Reasonable price for a good hotel in a popular tourist area.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Service was great in all areas, staff friendly and accommodating, comfy rooms, hot water was hot, WiFi was good. Had some lovely meals in the restaurant too. It’s in a perfect spot with everything you need close by, whilst also being in a beautiful getaway spot. Loved the area and the hotel. Will return at some point and have another great time I’m sure.

I love this building! The interior design leaves a lot to be desired though! It's quite pricey, so I was expecting a little more than a step up from Izal in the bathroom! Everything else though was amazing. The staff are so loyal to the hotel! Breakfast was delicious and the gin cocktails were fabulous... They are not consumed at the same time... Just to clarify, lol

Nice decor in the restaurant, and food was good, for a Sunday menu. Good for family's, relaxing place to eat. Went at a busy time in the day time on new year's eve, so staff were pretty stressed. Potientally better during the week on a different menu, and less stressful service.
