Had a Groupon weekend deal and enjoyed our stay very much. Wonderful location in centre of town with car parking on site. Good rail and bus connections and also lovely walks close by. Comfortable and good sized room. Twin bedded room. Beds perhaps not the most comfortable but slept well. Warm despite the Arctic weather. Lovely big, controllable shower with plenty of hot water. Surprisingly tiny tv - very unusual these days! Free Internet. Evening meal in hotel on one night which was tasty ate out the second. Nice bar area and a lounge where one could sit in comfort with a drink to people watch or chat to other guests. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty about during our stay.

This hotel had just been taken over by new owners Lee and Deanna who are really friendly and helpful. There's lots of great facilities for outdoorsy people including a drying room and secure storage for bikes & boats. You can chose from the luxurious hotel rooms or the cheaper bunkhouse rooms but either way get to use their great amount of communal space - a lounge, bar, games room, and restaurant.

The room was very basic. The shower screen constraints tried to choose when you stood in the bath the whole room need a good clean. The breakfast was ok I guess but I few items were less than welcoming. The food in the restaurant was good with friendly service and a comfortable seating area. I'm not sure I would stay there again.

Nice hotel. Helpful & friendly staff. Food good but limited. Will allow dogs to stay in rooms.
