SENSATIONAL 3rd generation family eatery. Such lovely hospitality and the food was off the charts. I’m a massive foodie and I always source places out. Do yourself a favour and get out of the centre. It’s a 5 minute / £5.00 Uber away. They even gave me an Oud fragrance wipe and a chest of sweets at the end. This place is authentic and serving unbelievably amazing food from the heart. My photography absolutely does not do the flavours and generous portions justice.
Where do I start !! The food was absolutely delicious We tried the dynamite chicken for the first time mmmm !! Then we had lamb balti and chicken balti …lassi saag and a mixed dhal ! Our favourite was the lassi saag the best I ve ever tasted !! The service was excellent the staff helpful and swift.The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the decor was very tasteful. The food was fresh and the place was impeccably clean. Definitely five star !! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetables and lentil options Parking: Safe side road parking
This evening, my sisters and I went to Royal Watan. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and seated straight away. Our waiter talked us through the menu and gave us recommendations on what we should order. Food arrived and was sizzling with steam. The aroma was tantalising our taste buds. Food was absolutely delicious, especially the lassi n saag! The portions are very generous and we over ate! Yet we had quite a bit left over. It's a must try! The service was exceptional! Imran came over to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything. The atmosphere was relaxing, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Staff go way and beyond to provide the best eating experience. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! Happy customers! I will definitely be back again soon. Keep up the awesome work!
A hidden gem in Stirchley! My sisters and i came for an evening meal 27.06.24. From the moment we entered, hospitality was amazing! First impressions, the decor is really lovely and modern with beautiful lighting. As this was our first time here we asked the waiter for recommendations. For starters we had Poppadoms with the dips tray, the mix grill platter, chilli chicken and some fries. Cannot fault it. Between five of us we ordered two mains and a very large naan! Palak ghosht and bhuna chicken and Desi chicken parmesan. We were very kindly given some lassi ka saag to taste by the owner, all three currys were very nice. Mojitos were value for money and good quantity. Especially the sunset daquiri We definitely ordered too much and had plenty to take home, no room for desserts!. I would definitely recommend this place and will definitely go back again.
A Lovely place with friendly staff & very good service. Starter was very tasty - kashmiri fish cod which forgot to take photo off., definitely recommend. The food didn’t disappoint, as even took an extra old traditional keema naan to take home for next day. Good portions sizes which we could not finish so you won’t go home hungry! Don’t serve alcohol so able to bring your own! No on site parking but easily parked near by on side road.

I have been going to this restaurant since the 90s say owner/family since it opened. Food is amazing and consistent throughout all these years.i live abroad now but when ever I return I go for a meal. For me the best indian restaurant in Birmingham by far. And great value for money and friendly staffFood: 5/5
Wonderful experience at the Royal Watan yesterday evening. The food is so good, of great quality, well prepared, served with care. Portions are generous and the price is fair. And the kindness of the owners and all the staff, unforgettable I liked the decoration and the seating is very comfortable. Just wished I lived closeby to come more often but next time I come to Birmingham, I will visit them again and very looking forward to it. Thank you for this lovely evening. This is such good food, and a very helpful and kind staff. We’ve been here many times. To give you an idea, once we visited with family and one of our guests got a bit unwell due to the spiciness of her plate. The restaurant owner ran to the gas station to get anti-reflux medication for her, no question asked. The food is excellent, and actually not that spicy unless you ask for it.
We went to this restaurant as part of a leaving do for a friend. 7 of us went and all of agreed that it was some of the best, if not the best indian food we have had. Presentation, flavours, service was all excellent. The only reason i left 4 stars was because it took almost an hour for us to get our food as they were very busy but it was well worth the wait. We will definitely be looking to go again.
