Unfortunately I can honestly say the worst fish and chips I've ever had. Ordered off deliveroo, small portion sizes, soggy yet stale chips, the fish batter was absolutely raw and had the consistency of wallpaper paste in places, missing curry sauce that I ordered extra. Would have been better off chucking a frozen birds eye fish in the oven..
Awful. Ordered on just eat. Estimated delivery was 16:05 then was changed to 16:35. At 16:50 food still not here so rang them was told it was on its way. It's only an 8 min drive and had to call again at 17:10 and was told again it was on its way. When I said I had been told that he said he would run the drive. Finally turned up 17:20 cold soggy limp chips fish was like rubber and the mushy peas had spilt out all over the bag. Don't waste your money !!
Wind rate no stars if I could I ordered on just eat at 6.30 pm and I got my order at 8.30pm. I live max 15 mins away in car. I ordered a reg fish and chips a curry sauce and Pepsi which is meal deal 1 and also I ordered a 9 pieced chicken nuggets chips and pepsi. I reserved the fish and chips but they were cold but I didn't reserve my chicken nuggets instead I got a cold burger. Also my gravy had a skin kn and same with my curry sause . i also rang them a number of times to tell them that it was wrong but they didn't answer and when they did the were very rude.
New management are awful. Picked up my order and was disgusted when I opened it at home see the photo on googles photo section. Totally raw but the batter has to be wrong somehow anyway because I've seen undercooked fish before and this was just wrong. I don't think these people have ever seen a proper fish and chips before.
Honestly wouldn't when rate the place 1 * because the food was absolutely disgusting. Fish was so undercooked and was so small. The chips are so soggy and wet. The chip butty looks like it has been left out for so long. The scollaps were literally the left overs from when you cut a potatos and they hardly had any batter.
Where do I start? I've been an avid chip eater for some years now. From potato to pomme fritte, the journey of a chip really is special. But enough about me, lets discuss royal fisheries. A very clean establishment with incredibly approachable staff members. The portions are very generous whilst maintaining incredible quality. It isn't often you find an establishment where you're only charged 90 pence for a soft drink. Me and my friends are currently tucking in and we've never felt closer together. I've only one thing to say really, Harry Ramsden will be turning in his grave knowing his legacy has been overshadowed my by friends at the Royal fisheries.
Absolutely ridiculous. Waited over an hour and a half yesterday for my order. Was meant to come at 8pm after ordering at 7:15pm and he came at 8:50pm. Rang up the takeaway at half 8 to ask where my order was and he said the driver will be there at 8:40. didn’t turn up till 8:50 and my food was mostly cold. Avoid!!
One chilly autumn evening after a torrid day a friend and I decided to have a night off cooking and head down to Royal Fisheries on Royal Park road for a treat. Upon entering the establishment the wonderful aroma of deep fried fish and chips filled our nostrils which made us even more hungry! So we made our order and were asked by the man at the counter "Small,Medium or Large?" Since the aromas had made us more hungry we chose the option "Large" The man seemed offended, looked up into the roof and said "NO! Large is only for deliveries!" This made us rather dissapointed, so we chose to stick with the next largest option "Medium" hoping this would satisfy our hunger. We asked to pay by card and he said "No, no card machine here, go next door to the off licence to get money out" So off we went, and followed the mans instructions. When we returned, a woman with golden blonde hair, much more attractive than the 2 of us, came in and picked up her order. 2 Large portions of Fish and Chips. It seems the man behind the counter is a trickster, or a charlatan, as he fooled us into thinking we couldn't have the large sized meal even though he initially offered it, and clearly had sold it to this striking blonde woman. The food was brilliant, but be aware that there is tomfoolery going on in this establishment "Royal Fisheries"
Ordered on just eat got call to say he was here. Ha wasn't. Got another one asking were address was so he wasn't here. Another call said he was here he wasn't. Then a call from. Shop saying the driver was to scared to deliver as I had given him a load of racial abuse and threatened him so my order was cancelled. Avoid. As I now have to wait. For. Refund
the worst fish and chips ive ever had the fish tasted horrible and the batter was cold thick and oily and the chips were shrivelled, dry and tasted stale. this place should be shut down!
