Was a beautiful scran bacon could have been abit more well done as I’m fussy with fat but overall 8/10 splendid meal fit for a king !!Food: 5/5
Been wanting to come here for a while and it didn’t disappoint! We visited at around 9am on a Saturday and it was already busy with no tables available on the ground floor, but the whole downstairs was empty so it was easy to find a table. I liked the atmosphere and the setting being next to the river. Service was very quick as it took barely any time for our coffees to arrive followed by our food, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the size of the breakfast and were very full after. While this was the veggie breakfast, presumably the normal breakfast is the same size, so the big breakfast must be absolutely huge! Our veggie breakfasts cost us £8.50 each which was great value for money considering the size. The coffee is fine, not amazing but it is cheaper than it is in most places in town so can’t massively complain but my cappuccino was very weak tasting despite apparently being a double shot and my boyfriend’s flat white wasn’t really a flat white. If we come again we’d probably order juice or something else. Vegetarian options: They have a veggie version of their famous breakfast.
We came towards the end of their day but they did us some delicious baked potatoes and we got a nice seat with a view of the river. Portion size was good and the potato was perfectly cooked.Food: 5/5

I’ve frequented this place on numerous occasions, and the food overall is up to scratch. Sadly, the service isn’t and neither is the pricing. Every single time I go I’m overcharged by £3-4. When I request a receipt every item on it is higher than advertised. It’s frustrating because I’d happily tip them more than the amount they choose to sneakily add, but it does leave a sour taste in my mouth. This last visit will be my last, the Cappucino costing £4.05 was absolutely disgusting. It was just water with a slight froth, the server spilt loads of it in the saucer and until I asked him to clean it up he was happy to walk away, I’ve sent pictures of the receipt, prices all higher than advertised on the board. Put simply they’re ripping you off, and as stated although the food is up to standard, there are plenty of other establishments who will welcome you with a smile.

Amazing breakfast place in Leeds city centre. Their portions are quality and so is the food! Very hospitable restaurant manager Neville who cooked a delicious full breakfast. Lastly the view even on an cold autumn morning is beautiful. Highly recommend this place for breakfast.
Seen this place on Rate my takeaway and I can see why it was highly rated. I got the regular breakfast but swapped out the beans for hash browns and black pudding. It was delicious, will definitely come here again!Food: 5/5

Recently went to a wedding that had a buffet English breakfast and it rekindled my love for it. My girlfriend and I found this beautiful little place along the riverbank which she had already been to but I had not. I have to say as my first experience this place was amazing. It was clean, the staff were friendly and it was an absolute delight. I ordered a regular English with extra hash browns with a glass of milk. The value for the food was pretty good. Some items were a little expensive but given the pandemic, it’s opened my eyes to spending a bit more of business that do really well, like this one. The food was delicious and left me feeling satisfied for the rest of the day! I would highly recommend this place. Really captures the essence of what being English or Yorkshire is all about. Will definitely be returning to the fine establishment to try their other meals. Thank you Riveresque!
