Excellent venue owned by the students union it is a nightclub events and function rooms. has excellent stage and sound system the bars are fantastic and of course geared up as a nightclub there's hundreds of fire escapes in a very very safe place to have an event.
Such a shame, went to see 'cloudbusting' Kate Bush tribute, and with no ventilation at all, people started leaving after 20 minutes as it was simply too hot. Sound was ok, bar staff trying their best, but really could not recommend the venue. Get the basics right.... Significant number of people left before the end or stood in a stairwell to cool down, listening from afar.
The venue itself is easy to get to, the stage is a little on the small side and can feel a little cramped. However, the sound both on and off stage is fantastic. Only downside is the room itself is a sort of L shape with the bar out of stage view, this can be a problem when the venue isn't full as it can appear on stage as if there are very few people there as they are at the bar!
So conflicted to say the least, went here for an electric six gig which was phenomenal. The downside is that the uni literally pulled the fire alarm and cut the mics when the band played one too many songs. I'm going to be harsh but fair, good place, nice atmosphere and staff that work damn hard at a damn hard job. Lousy management.
Enjoyed watching electric six but the room was sweltering, alot of people had to leave to go outside and get hair. It was the hottest venue ive been too and that isnt a good thing.
A deceptively large venue for how big it looks. The location is good. Not too busy, but not too far on the outskirts of Preston. It's an odd shape inside, making it not ideal for gigs.
My son came to the foam party last night and will not be coming again, after he and his mate witnessed a young girl and lad have sex in full view of everyone. Kids were filming it and after the young girl was in a real mess. Disgusting
Belting University venue, great acoustics, always had a good night, regardless of act I've attended. Ample parking too!

Great venue and sound. Perhaps have more than two bar staff that takes 15mims to get served at gigs
