About

Welcome to Rockingham CL we are a Caravan and Motorhome Club exclusive site in the heart of the Welland Valley with panoramic views for miles.

Story

Rockingham CL is open 365 days a Year with approximately 1 acre allocated to the CL, it is located with good links to the A14 / M1 & M6 main routes through the UK. Licensed by the Caravan Club to accomodate touring caravans and motorhomes for up to maximum of 28 days stay at any one time. It is a Caravan Club Members only site therefore you must be a member of the Caravan Club to stay here or any other CL ( Certified Location ).
Rockingham CL is located just off the B670 with stunning views overlooking the Welland Valley and just 5 minutes walk from the villages of Cottingham & Middleton. There are currently 2 pubs offering real Ale & great food. There is also a village shop and Café serving food all day and homemade cakes. Rockingham Castle is approximately a 20 minute walk away and makes for a lovely day out exploring the castle and gardens. Other local attractions include East Carlton Country Park, Eyebrook Trout Fishery, Burghley House and Rutland Water.

Dogs Welcome ( Must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the CL ).
Dog exercise area ( where they can be free to run off the lead ).
16 Amp Electric Hookups ( un-metered ).
All Pitches are hardstanding.
Fresh water & Chemical toilet disposal area.
24 Hour discreet CCTV security camera's.
Trout Fishing within 3 miles from site.
Public Golf course & driving range within 1 1/2 miles.
Coded entry gate ( code given on advance bookings ).
Enclosed recycling bin area.
No extra charges for awnings.

Lovely little site, well laid out, lots of personal space & stunning views. It's our second stay. It nice & easy for fishing at Eyebroke which is literally just down the road. The only drawback is the traffic. You're literally behind the hedge on the main road, so if you pitch on the hedge side of the site it could be a little noisy. Also beware the flies, they bite!!!
Lovely site. Great location stunning veiws, great pub within walking distance and good fishing close by. This will be our go to place for that quick weekend getaway.
Visited for the first time in July, not local for us about 200 miles but well worth it. Going back 17-29 December so see what its like in winter, can't wait. Sons family staying in there caravan as well.
Lovely site. Well looked after. Plenty of personal space and hard standings. Great views. Local info and books to read on site. No toilet or shower though. Although the owners did provide eco toilet fluid for your own Elsan. Owners communications were very good and extremely helpful. Would love to come back.
Nice spacious CL with plenty of room between pitches. Great views over the valley. No Showers or toilets. well kept and the tables and benches are a nice touch. Pub nearby as is small store. Great site for a quiet break.
Had an amazing stay with breathtaking views and very clean facilities.
Lovely site with fabulous views. Plenty of space between caravans. The red kites are incredible to watch. Good base for visiting local places such as Foxton Locks. East Carlton Country Park is lovely for dog walks. The two local pubs in walking distance were both closed for food on Monday and the cafe/shop closed at 2pm. I found the road a little noisy and the grass wasn’t cut until the day before we left due to the owner being on holiday. In my opinion, if a cl owner is going to charge £20/25 a night, it should be well maintained at all times. The WiFi isn’t secure and is a bit hit and miss.
Fantastically laid out site all hardstandings facilities covid safe, site secure, on a high ridge so put awning on rear pitches, very clean.
Lovely site with good sized gravel standings with grass in between. Very well maintained too. Excellent views across the country side. Very good WIFI even inside the van perfect for rainy days. Plenty of fresh water taps around the site and chemical toilet emptying point. Will visit again.
Fantastic little site, well laid out, clean and well kept. Fabulous views. Good free Wi-fi.
