"Perhaps the closest restaurant to the source of fish in the UK. Rockfish Brixham sits in the world famous fish market overlooking the boats as they land their catch which is in our kitchen an hour or so later. We have seating for 80 inside and a further 80 on the terrace which looks directly down to the fishing fleet, the smaller boats start landing from around 5pm each day, its an exciting sight to see fish of all shapes and sizes coming ashore, there really isn't a better place to enjoy seafood. We also have a full bar with South West ales, a great selection of quality wines and ice cold Estrella Galicia, a fantastic beer with seafood."

Really friendly service, spacious seating and dog-friendly which was a must! Huge selection of fresh market fish - we had the Brixham hake and chips and the ray wing. The fried fish was buttery soft with delicate batter - just perfect! Ray wing was also melt-in-your-mouth, not overpowered by the sauce/butter so you could really enjoy the flavour of the fresh fish. The crab starter was also really good. They were vigilantly sweeping the floor and the restaurant seemed nice and clean. It would be good if the tip was automatically added to the bill or if there was an option to add it on the card reader.
A really great seafood meal. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff talk you through all the locally caught options. Served in an airy room or on the large balcony overlooking the harbour. A real treat.
Cannot fault this plaice at all. Our first experience of lobster and it was amazing! The staff were excellent, the food was astounding, eaten with a lovely view of the harbour. Would definitely recommend their Cider too, it was beautiful. Not a cheap evening but worth every penny.
You can't get any fresher than that. We had whole Plaice and you couldn't fault it. The staff seem to be propelled by well oiled wheels, so polite, efficient and friendly too. Beautiful spot and nicely laid out.
Great quality food Nice lager pilsner and atmosphere overlooking Brixham fish market m Went to Rockfish Brixham on a Thursday afternoon, was only 2 or 3 tables busy in the whole restaurant. Service wasn’t the best, had to ask for a jug of water twice, had to ask for extra chips twice, although staff were nice and polite, the place was not full or busy by any means so no excuse for novice service Will return again for the quality of food
We’ve eaten several times at Rockfish and always really enjoyed it. The atmosphere and environment is lovely and location unique and the service from Josh was excellent - he was really knowledgeable and attentive and friendly. The starters were tasty. However, the selection of ‘daily catch’ for mains was really limited and not particularly exciting. We had a table at 8pm and most of it was off menu as was finished. I understand the concept means that you can never guarantee what you’re going to get but when you’re essentially getting glorified fried and fish and chips because the interesting specials are off, the rather inflated price tag is a little galling. Nevertheless, we had a lovely evening and will probably come again on our next visit to Brixham but will probably eat earlier to get a better selection.

A truly amazing experience. Brilliant staff, knowledgeable chefs, great views and a wonderful ambience... We loved it so much we went back twice but if we had known how fresh the seafood was we would have gone everyday. My only comment would be to ask all you who visit and just have cod and chips - why, when it's not even caught off the coast of Brixham? Anyway, amazing, incredible and honestly some of the UK's best seafood. Superb
Some of the freshest fish I have ever eaten. I had the megrim Torbay sole, which was a generous portion size and fairly priced. The whitebait fish starter was plentiful too. The service was unbeatable - the guy who served us drinks was very kind, as was the girl who waited us at our table. There is a separate spot to have a drink while waiting for a table with equally good views over the harbour. Overall, a brilliant experience.
