This place is the most dog friendly place I've ever been in. The staff were very courteous and attentive There was a log fire that was very welcoming The food was great - hot and well presented I've never seen an array of dog bowls and treats ! Well done to all
Have walked past here many times, but only today did we decide to pop in there for something to eat. Family of 4 and all of us ordered the fish and chips, all really happy. May be a bit pricier than the chipshops surrounding the harbour, but we actually think it is worth the extra couple of quid...Probably nicest fish and chips we have ever had...will defo return when we are next down here.

We had a meal here on Sunday. The food was amazing. Neer had so many fries. The fish was huge and really tasty. Topped of with the absolutely excellent service we had from Tommy. He is a real credit to you. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
Amazing pub. Has a good selection of local beers and a great new menu. So dog friendly with fresh water and free treats and is great for just walking in and grabbing a table and a quick rest for the dog on our walk. Would highly recommend!
We dived into the Old Market House when a cloud burst had us running for cover... We'd stopped by earlier in the downstairs bar for a drink where the staff were friendly & courteous..But this time we went upstairs and had a table for a meal. The Food was great but the welcome and attention from the staff was brilliant.. One particular waiter, who I'm sorry to say I forgot to ask his name really made us laugh. He was brilliant.. Had a great repartee with us and even stopped to help us to get a wonderful panoramic shot of the harbour including ourselves as stars Thankyou you really improved our visit to the restaurant
visited on a saturday afternoon, got seated quickly and ordered up at the bar, the caesar salad was delicious and there was lots of dressing and good value for money the side of fries was a big portions but warm, the cheeseburger was great value for money it was very nice but a bit messy because it was very saucy a good portion size too lots of fries but also warm. food took 10-15 minutes to arrive, very fast. overall a very nice experience
Had a really nice lunch and the staff are wonderful. We had a booking for later but plans changed and they had no problem accommodating us. We also have an anxious dog who can get quite vocal when we go into places, but they looked after us and the pup really well. The food was amazing and good portions. If I was to be really picky, the paper that lined the plates stuck to food as it got wet and cutting through food it tore easily. But that is just being really picky. I would definitely return. Special thanks to the guy who looked after us and served us.
I have been a HUGE fan of the OMH over the years, the lovely atmosphere and modern decor and a good menu. B U T, the last two times of eating there have been awful, I can only compare their food to Weatherspoons at inflated prices. Please get your act together and start to serve a decent plate of food.
Three of us ate at the markethouse yesterday. My partner and myself had jackfruit with chips which resembled a cheep food in a basket meal; our friend had a cheeseburger ... the cheese on the burger was a RUNNY CHEESE SAUCE!! Awful food, we will not go there again and nor would we recommend. It's in a great location and that's it!!
